In the name of God Amen I Bartholomew May of West Peckham in the County of Kent, Clerk, being sick of Body but of sound and perfect memory, praised be God for the same, and being desirous to settel things in order, do make this my last Will and Testament (that is to say)
I commend my Soul to God Almighty my Creator assuredly believing I shall receive full pardon and Remission of my Sins and be saved by the meritts and pretious death of my blessed Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ
And my Body to the Earth from whence it was takent to be buried in decent and Christian manner
As touching such worldly Goods as the Lord in mercy hath lent me, my Will and meaning is the same shall be imployed and bestowed as hereafter by this my Will is expressed
First I do revoke and make void all former Wills by me heretofore made and appoint this my last Will and Testament

Imprimis I give and devise to my Son Edward May that part of the Messuage, Lands and Tenements which was settled on his Mother in Joynture, scituate, lying and being in the several Parishes of Tenham and Lingsted in the said County of Kent and now or late in the Tenure or occupacon of Michael Friday at the yearly Value of Thirty pounds per Annum and to his heirs for ever

Item I give and bequeath more unto my said Son Edward May the summe of Twenty shillings of Lawfull Money of Great Britain to be paid within three Months next after my decease by my Executrixes hereafter named

Item I make and ordain Elizabeth May, Sarah May and Frances May my daughters, to be joynt Executrixes of this my last Will, to whom I given devise and bequeath all the rest of my Lands and premisses not herein before disposed of, scituate, lying and being in the Parishes before mentioned and willed to me by my late deceased Father, equally to be divided between them and their heires for ever

Also I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my goods, Chattles and personal Estate whatsoever unto my said daughters Elizabeth, Sarah and Frances May, equally to be divided between them

In wittness whereof I the said Bartholomew May have to this my last Will and Testament sett my hand and seal this Eighteenth day of June in the Eighth Year of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lady Anne now Queen of Great Britain &c Anno domini 1709
