In the name of God Amen 11th day of March 1612
I Jane Maynard of the parish of Pensherste in the countrie of Kent widow late the wife of Richard Maynard the elder deceased sometime whilst he lived of the parish of Withiam in the countie of Sussex yeoman do make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and forme following
First I bequeath and commend my soule into the hands of Allmighty God and to Jesus Christ my saviour and Redeemer ...
And my body to be buried in the Churchyard of the parish of Withyam aforesaid near unto the place where my aforesaid husband lyeth

Item I give and bequeath the poore to be bestowed on the day of my burial 40 shillings of good and lawful money of England
Item I give and bequeath unto Richard Collin the sonne of William Collin of the parish of Heaver in the countie of Kent 20 shillings ...
Item I give unto Mary Collin the daughter of the aforesaid William Collin 20 shillings ...

Item I give unto Jane Harte the daughter of the aforesaid Richard Harte my best Fetherbed one payre of the best blankets my best covering my best bowlstertwo of my best pillows the best shipp Chest a Joyned Chest my Cauwldiron one Irne pot one Irne posset and all the rest of my lynnen unbequeathed, and a cow and a calf

The rest of all my debtes goodes and Chattells whatsoever unbequeathed my debts legacies and funeral expences first discharged I give and bequeath unto Richard Hart the younger and Jane Hart the son and daughter of the aforesaid Richard Hart the elder equally to be divided between them two
whom I do make constitute and appoint my only executors to execute this my last Will and Testament

And my Will and meaning is that if it shall fortune either the said Richard the younger or the said Jane to die and depart this world before any disposition made of the debts goods and chattells before named to be given to them, then my will and very meaning is that the survivor of them shall have and enjoy the whole.

In witness whereof I have sett my hand and seal the day and year first above written.
Memorandum that these words and Jane Hart were set down before either the ensealing or setting to of her hand,

moreover my will and meaning is that my Daughter Mary shall have the profit that may arise of the sum of money that I shall leave (the principal only to remain after to be divided between the aforenamed Richard Hart and Jane Hart) during her natural life
and so afterward to their uses before mentioned by equall division between them
these lines being written before any sealing - Jane Maynard her mark

Read declared and published for the Will of the said Jane the widow of Richard Maynard the elder the day and year above written in the presence of us
John Harte and Samuell Haflfhide

Probate at London proved 20 Dec 1616 on the oath of Richard Hart junior and Jane Hart executors named in the will
