In the name of God amen the tenth daye of Aprill in Anno Dni 1609
I Josephe Mayowe of Marden in the Countie of Kent yoman being of good & p�fect mind & memorie I praise God therefore doe make this last Will & Testament in manner and dorme foloweinge
First & principalie I comend my sowle to Almightie God my Creator Redemer & sanctifier & my body to be buried in the Churchyard of Marden afforesaid

Item I will & my mynd is that my wife Elizabeth shall sell at the best price my two p�eces or p�cells of eareable lands caled wauses or feelds conteynyng by estimacon Five Acres of land more or lesse together lyeng & beinge in Marden afforesaid to redeme both the said lands & other of my lands nowe morgaged & to paye my debts

& concerning All the Resydue of my lands & tenements scituat lyenge & being in Marden afforesaid I give them to the said Elizabeth my wife for & duringe the terme of her naturall lyfe to educate & bring up my children in a good & decent manner

& Imediatlie after her decease I geve the remaynder of the said resydue of my said lands & tenements unto my three sonnes Richard Joseph & James & to their heyres for ever

Itm I give to the said Richard my sonne my best lome & all the tacklinge thereunto belonging with the shopp where the said Lome nowe standeth with Ingresse & regresse to & from the said shopp at all convenient tymes when the said Richard shalbe disposed to worke therein & one flockbed one flock bolster & two sheets

Itm I give to the said Joseph my sonne one other flockebed & one flocke bolster & one other payer of sheets
Itm I give to the said James my sonne another flockebed and another flock bolster & another payer of sheets
The said Joseph & James to have the said moveables given to them to be deliv�ed to them imediatlie after the decease of my wife

Itm I give to Agnes my daughter a great brasse stuppenet & one chest
Itm All the residue of my goods & chattels & debts I give them unto the said Elizabeth my wife
& ordeyne & appoynt my said wife to be sole executrix of this my said Last Will and Testament

And my will & meaning is that yf the mony had & receved by the said sale of my said two peces or p�cells of eareable land will not suffice to paye my debts that then my wife shall paye the same out of the p�fits of my lands & out of my moveable goods hereby before given to her

In Witnes whereof I have hereunto put my marke & seale & published the same to be my last Will & Testament these being witnesses
