In the name of God Amen: The eighth and Twentieth of Januarie one Thowsand six hundred thirty eight
I Joseph Maioh of Marden sick of body, but of good and perfect memory (God bee praised) doe make and ordeine this my last will and Testament, in manner and forme followeing, that is to say,
First I commend my soule into ye hands of God my maker, hopeing assuredlie through the only merritts of Jesus Christ my saviour, to bee made partaker of life everlastinge. And I commend my body to the earth whereof it is made.

Item I give and bequeath unto my sister the wife of Jesper Dann tenn shillings, and to her husband tenn shillings,
and to Joseph Dann five shillings and to Tabethe five shillings sonne and daughter of Jesper Dans wife.
Alsoe I give and bequeath to Richard Danne one shilling, John, James and George [Dann] one shilling a peece

Alsoe I give and bequeath to my brother James Maioh all my goods whatsoever dischardgeing and payeinge this my will and Testament and my buryall dischardged
And I make my brother James Maioh whole Executor of this my last will and Testament payeing the legacies att Michaell next after my decease

Joseph son of Joseph & Elizabeth Mayhow was baptised at Marden 7 Oct 1593. He was buried there 30 Jan 1638/9.
His sister Agnes was baptised 30 Aug 1584 and married Jaspar Dann 17 Jan 1607/8
Their children mentioned in this will were all baptised at Marden:
Joseph 5 Nov 1608, Tabitha 7 Jan 1615/6, Richard 28 Jun 1618, John 30 Apr 1620. James 20 May 1622 & George 2 Nov 1628.
George Salmon & Tabitha Danne married 10 Jul 1638 at Marden
Joseph Mayhow's brother James (executor of this will) was baptised 28 Mar 1602
