I Thomas Medharste of Marden in the County of Kent husbanman beynge Sycke in boddye but of good & perfet Rememberance Thankes be geven unto Allmyghtty god therfore Do make this my laste Wyll & testament in mannar & forme followynge Revokynge all other before wrytten
Wherin Fyrste I bequethe my soulle unto Almyghtye God myne only Creator & Redemer
And my boddy to be buryed in the Churcharde of Marden when yt shall pleasse God

Itm I geve unto An my wyffe one playne bedsteddell wythe a Flockebedde & my beste Coverlett a bolstar of fethers the beste twoo pyllowes of the beste ij of my beste blankytes & ij payer of good sheetes
Also I geve unto An my wyffe the beste cow that I shall have at my deceasse & viij bushelles of wheat & iiij bushelles of malt to be payd unto her after harveste nyxt by myne executor
Also I geve unto An my wyffe mor one cawdrone one brasse pott one kredtroffe one Chorne & one buntyngehuche a shall & halfe my beeffe & also halfe the corne in the barne & in the housse & halfe the Vyttell in the house at my deceasse & also her beynge in the house tyll one lady day nyxt & kepynge her Cow tyll then free

And after one lady day nyxt I wyll that Danyell my sonne shall kepe her Cow for her for xx s a yeare durynge the tyme of my leasse as he dothe kepe his owne
Also I wyll that An my wyffe shall have halfe my howsold stuffe besydes excepte one fyne hocke soeme sheet dubbell styched

Itm I geve and bequethe unto Wyllyam Medharste my sonne my Read Cow and my Colte my Clocke and my beste fynyshcyones & ij shertes my beste hatt and my lessar Cheeste and xxij shillynges of monye to be payd unto him w�thin one holl yeare nyxt after my deceasse by myne executor

All the Resedew of all my goodes and Cattelles movable and unmoveable my dettes and legacys payd and my funyrall expences dysscharged I geve unto Danyell Medharste my sonne whom I make my soulle executor of this my laste Wyll

And I make and ordayne to be my overseares of this my laste Wyll and testament Nycholas Parke of Marden and Martene Spatcherste of Ettonbredge and thay to have for the paynes xij d a pece
