This is the last Will and Testament of me William Miller the Elder, Mariner of Ramsgate in the County of Kent

I give and bequeath all my Property and Estates freehold and personal, houses, lands, boats, moneys, goods, chattels, furniture that I shall be in possession of at my death into the hands of my Son William Miller the Younger and my friend Thomas Spain the Husband of my Daughter Sarah their Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns

Upon trust for the following purposes, namely:
first I direct that all my just Debts, funeral and testamentary expences be paid out of the same
and secondly I direct that my dear wife Elizabeth Miller shall have and use for her own benefit all the profits and interests arising from my said Property (but not the absolute Property) so long as she shall live
and thirdly after the death of my Wife I direct that my Daughter Lucy Miller shall have and use for her own benefit all the profits and interests arising from my said Property (but not the absolute Property) so long as she shall live

and fourthly after the death of my Daughter Lucy Miller I desire that all my said Property and Estate houses and lands, Boats, Furniture, Goods and Chattels be then sold as soon as convenient and in which way my assigns, executors and administrators shall think best and the moneys to be equally devided between my nine children or so many of them as shall the be living, namely
My Sons William Miller, George Miller, Lilliford Miller, Richard Miller and my Daughters Mary Lilliford the wife of H. ldeare (?), Christiana Lilliford the wife of _____ Elliot, Elizabeth Miller, Susan the wife of G. Holmes and Sarah the wife of J. Spain, share and share alike

In Witness wereof I the said William Miller have set my hand and seal this twenty second day of July One thousand eight hundred and forty five

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said William Miller the Elder as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses 23rd July 1845

The before registered Will of William Miller the Elder deceased was proved the fourth day of June 1849 before the Reverend John Pechey Francis, Clerk, Surrogate to the Official General of the Reverend the Archdeacon of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oaths of William Miller Son of the deceased and Thomas Spain the Executors according to the tenor of the said Will they being first sworn duly to perform the same.
