In the Name of God Amen The xvijth [17th] day of September The yere of our Lord God [1511]
I John Mylner of Eryth in the Countie of Kent Yoman beyng in good and hole mynde (thankes be God) do make ordeyne and dispose this my prsent testament and last Will in forme folowing (that ys to say)
First I bequeth and Recomend my Soule to Almightie God my maker and redemr [redeemer] to his most glorious moder [mother] and lady Seynt Marie the Virgyn and to all seynts And my body to be buried in the Chapell of our lady wtin [within] the pisshe [parish] church of Eryth aforesaid

Item I bequth to the high aulter of the same churche for my tithes and oblacons [obligations] forgoten xxd [twenty pence].
Item I Bequeth to the Abbot of Lesnes xxd.
And to evry chanon [canon] beyng a preest in the said Abbey viijd [8 pence]
And to evry Novice iiijd [4 pence] to pray for my soule
Item I Bequeth to the light of Alhalowes of Eryth aforesaid xxd And to our lady light there xxd

Also I will that the trentall * that I shall have of the bretherd [brethern] oflhalowes be sung for my soule at the freers [friars] Augustyns in London in all convenyence hast after my decesse
* Trental - a series of 30 Requiems celebrated one each day for 30 consecutive days.
Item I bequeth to the church of Crayford an aulter clothe price iijs iijd [3 shillings 3 pence]
Item I bequeth to the reparcons [repairs] of the bodies of the pisshe churches of ..eykham? and Reynhm [Rainham] to either of theym iijs iijd

Item to the reparacons of the body of the pisshe churche of Upmynster vjs [6 shillings]
Item I will that an honest preest of goode name and same syng and pay for my soule and all cristen [Christian] souls in the said church of Eryth by the space of half a yere

Item I bequeth to Avery Ludlow a payre of corall beds [beads?] gandred wt silvr and gilt [garnered with silver and gilt] that were my first Wifs And aftr [after] hr decesse I will that Margaret hir doughter shalhave the said beds
Item I Bequeth to the said Margaret a federbed [feather bed] beyng in her faders [fathers] keping and a bras pott

Item I bequith to iij of Thomas Ludlowes children to evry of theym iijs iiijd to be delivered in conveynently [conveniently] to the said fader and eche of theym to be (each) others heyre
Item I bequethe to Ayvery Colyn xs [10 shillings]
Item I bequeth to Elizabeth Trewe vjs viijd [6 shillings and 8 pence] to her maridge
Item I bequeth to John Taster a course feder bed & a Russest mantell
And to Thomas Ludlow a fallemdy gowne lyned
Item I bequeth to William Colyn my half quarter of my Crayer* called “the John”.
* A Crayer = a small sailing cargo vessel

Item I geve and Bequeth to the said William Colyn and to the heyres of his body lawfully begotten for evrmore all that my tent. wt thpprtenncs [tenement with the appurtenances] sett and lying in Eryth aforsaid which I purchased of John Baster [Baxter]
And for defawte [default] of suche yssue [issue] the Remaynder thereof to Davy Mylner my Son to his heyres and assignes for evr

The Residewe of all my goods catalls [chattels] and detts whatsoever they be also my detts paid the coste of my burying doon and this my present testament and last Will fulfilled holly [wholy] I geve and Bequeth to the said Davy my Son Whom of this my prsent testament I make and ordeyn monly [my only] executor
And the ovrsear [overseer] of the same I make and ordeyne Robert Page and I bequeth to him for his labos [labours] vjs viijd [6 shillings and 8 pence]
