In the name of God Amen the xvti [15th] daie of Auguste in the first and second yeare of the reigne of ower Souereigne lorde and ladye Phillipp and Marye by the grace of God Kyng and Quene of England, Fraunce, Naples, Jerusalem and Ireland, defenders of the feight [faith], Princes of Spayne and Cicill [Sicily], Archdukes of Austriche, Dukes of Myllayn [Milan], Burgundye and Brabant, Countes of Habsonage [Hapsburg], Flannders and Tyroll and in the yeare of or lord God [1554]
I Clement Mounte of Byddenden in the countie of Kent beinge hole of mynde and good of memorye (thanckes be given unto almightie God) do make and ordeigne this my last will and testament in manner and forme hereafter followinge
First I comytt my sowle unto almightie God my maker and redemer and my bodye to be buryed wher(e) it shall please allmightie God

First I will unto Johan my wif that she shalhave unto her and to her assignes for the space and terme of iij yeares next after my deceae her dwellynge in my howse, the whiche that I doo dwell in next unto the Sandwaye wth the rsance? and occupienge of my xiij acres of lande thereunto belonginge
And she nor her assignes to make any strepe or wast uppon the same landes during the sayd terme of iij yeares And after the terme of iij yeares that then my Will is that she shall stande unto Joynter [Jointure]

Also I will unto the sayd Johan my Wif all my howshold stuffe except and resarvyd tables, fourmes, bedstedles, benches, bedstedilles and all maner of kynde of yron or yeoron worke and one querne and one grynston and cortes wtall other lumbar wtowt the dores and resarvinge unto the sayd Johan one Cake yron one spit one trivit and one fagget bill
Also I will unto the sayd Johan my wif all my cattell, pultry and haye

Also I will unto Agnes Hilles my daughter the wif of Thomas Hilles of Halden iiij markes in money to be payde unto her by myn executors or ther(e) assignes wtin one yeare next ymediatly after my decease
Also I do give unto my son Willyam Mounte nowe dwellinge at Romney a xiijs iiijd
Also I will the Peter Mownte and Clement Mounte my sonnes to set upp apon the stedle whiche I do dwellin one howse whiche I bought of Richard Richard(s)

Also I will that Peter and Clement my sonnes to be myne executors and they for to receave and to take the profects [profits] of my landes unto the tyme that Richard and Mathew my sonnes comythe unto ther ages of xxviij yeares and then they to paye unto Richard Mouwnt my son iiijli [£4] of lawfull money of yngland
Also I will that the sayd Peter and Clement myne executors to receave after my decease all sutche yearly profects comminge of my landes and all my debtes and therwith to paie my legaces and to fulfill this my laste will and testament
And all the Residues of my goodes unbequeathed my will performed I will that yt shall remayne equallye to be devyded amonge them

Also I will unto Johan my wif xij busshelles of malte and iij busshelles of Barlye malte whiche Umfrey the meller [miller] owithe unto me

This is the Laste Will of me the forsaid Clement Mownte made the daye and yeare abovesaid Concerninge all my landes and tentes lyenge and beinge in Biddenden or any els[e] where in the countie of Kente

Firste I will that Peter Mownte my son shalhave unto him and to his heires and assignes for ever one yeare after my decease my howse and one acre of lande therunto belonginge and vij acres and a halfe of my lande more or lesse at Trendherst wth the ferme [farm] of the same unto him his heires and assignes for ever
Also I will unto the same Peter my son after that the yeares the whiche Nycholas Hamper hath in one pece of my lande called holerede be expired that it shall remayne unto the same Peter his heires and assignes for ever (excepte and resinyde unto the howse to have one fotewaye to goo and come ther nighe it unto the churche for ever)

Also I will unto Clement Mounte my sonne that he shalhave my howse and a garden and xiij acres of lande therunto belonginge more or lesse the whiche that I do dwell in the the sandwaye after that the iij yeares be expired and ended before willed and assigned Johan my wyffe hys mother unto him his heires and assignes for ever

Also I will unto Rycharde Mounte my sone my house garden and pec of Lande therunto belonginge Lyeing and being in Wodchuche conteynyng one acre and a half of Lande ether more or lesse and nyne acres of Lande in Biddenden at Buckherste bridge in thoccupeyenge of John Daye To be had to the saide Richarde his heires and assignes for ever when that he comythe unto thage of xxviijti [28] yeris

Also I will unto Mathewe Mounte my sone that he shall have my house garden and foure peces of land therunto belonging p[er]teynying unto Johan my wif for he dowerye after her decease unto him his heires and assigneis for ever
Also I will unto Mathewe Mounte my sone that he shall have unto him his heires and assigneis for ever when he cometh unto his age of xxviij yeres ij peces of my Lande callyd Syxe Acres and Byddynden fi[e]lde Lyenge beside the Lane callyd Dent Lane

Clement Mounte houshoulder was buried on 15 Mar 1555 at All Saints, Biddenden, Kent.
Son Clement Mounte married Anne Fowle on 7 Jul 1560 at Biddenden.
