In dei noie Amen The xxist day of August 1532 I Thomas Modyll of the parish of Faversham being sick in body and in whole mind and in good rememberence thanks be god fearing the hasty calling of death make ordain and devise this my present testament and last will in manner and form following. First I bequeath my soul to almighty god our lady saint Mary and all the holy company of heaven And my body to be buried in the church yard of Faversham beside the ��� of my Father Arnold Cowpe

Item I bequeath to the high ... of Faversham for my �� and offering negligently forgotten viijd
Item I bequeath to the high cross and light Ijd
Item I will that there shall be bestowed at my burying in dyry� � masse� and other deed of charity vjs viijd And at my Mo�. Day as �� And at my y�. mind at the pleasure of my wife

Item I give and bequeath unto William Arnold and John my sons and to every of them iiij� of good and lawful money of England to be delivered unto them and to every one of them when they come to their age of xxj years And if it fortune any of them for to die before the same age and if h� I will that one shall be h� to ther as long as any be alive And if fortune that they die all before the age of xxj years then I will that their mother shall have all their part of money if she then be living if not I will that a priest shall ��.sing and pray for our souls our friends souls and all expired souls within the parish church of Faversham as long as the money will endure.

Item I give and bequeath unto Agnes my daughter xls to be delivered unto her at her marriage And if she die before her marriage then I will that her part shall remain unto her brothers among being in equal portions if any be living O�.. I will that her mother shall �.. part of ���.. if not I will it shall ���� ��� the use of a honest priest as long as the money shall endure as is before written.
Item I will that Margaret my wife shall have my part of a �� ���� of ... that William Fennor and I bought ���. or in the parish of Selling with all other ���. that I have made wheresoever they be I will that she shall enjoy them.

The residue of all my movables goods my debts and legacies ��. and paid I give �.. �. unto Margaret my wife for to dispose for my soul and all expired souls as she shall think most necessary The wh�.
