Item I give and bequeath my house in Thurnham with all the appurtenances
thereunto belonging unto my sister Anne the now wife of Christian Arres and to her heirs
lawfully begotten of her body to have and to hold forever.
Item I give and bequeath unto my brother Walter Muddle of the parish of Boxley in the County
of Kent the sum of fifteen pounds of Lawful English money to be paid to him the said Walter
Muddle out of the money which he owes me on bond and payable Michaelmas Last past.
Item I give and bequeath unto my Cousin Nicholas Muddle the son of my brother Walter Muddle
the sum of twenty shillings to be paid to him by my Executor hereafter mentioned when the
aforesaid money upon bond is paid and satisfied.
Item I give and bequeath to my Cousin Stephen Muddle the sum of twenty
shillings to Elizabeth Hope the daughter of Daniel Hope the sum of twenty shillings.
Item I give and bequeath unto my Cousin Thomas Kingsmeal the sum of four pound of lawful English money to my Cousin Mary Kingsmele four pound of the like lawful English money to my Cousin Sarah the now wife of William Clare the sum of forty shillings of lawful money of England which sum and sums of money I allot to be paid by my Executor when they attain to the age of one and twenty years and the forty shillings to Sarah Clare a twelve month after my natural decease.
Item I give and bequeath to my brother Walter Muddle his wife two pair of Sheets and half a dozen of Napkins remaining with Mr John Austin of Maidstone to my Cousin Nicholas Muddle his wife one pair of Sheets to my Cousin Elizabeth Hope one sheet and tablecloth to my sister Anne Arres two pair of Sheets and half a dozen of Napkins all which remaining as aforesaid with Master John Austen of Maidstone.
And lastly I do
constitute make ordain and appoint John Huggins of the parish of Leysdown within the Isle of
Sheppey and County of Kent aforesaid Executor of this my last Will and Testament. In
witness hereof I have hereunto put my hand and seal the twenty sixth day of January in the
year of our Lord 1675. The mark of William Muddle Sealed and signed in the presence of
Thomas Higgens, John Rigden, John Tuder.
