to be shifted or to the Survivours or Survivour of them at there severall age or ages of xviijteen [18] yeares
Item I geve to every of my three daughters vz. Martha, Martha and Mary v li ster[ling] a peece to be paid Unto them at there severall age
or ages of xviijteen yeares
and if it shall happen any of my sayde iij daughters to decease befor(e) shee or they accomplishe her or there said age or ages of xviijten that then
her or there parte or porcons before willed shall remaine to the survivours or survyvor of them
And if all my sayd three daughters happen to decease before any of them do come to there saide age of xviijten then I will the partyes or porcons
before willed to my said iij daughters to Silvester my sonne,
and if it shall happen all my said iiij children to decease before they or any of them com(e) to thage or ages before limited, th[a]t th[e]n I will

This s the last Will and testamente of me the sayde Thomas Safferye made and declared the daye and yeare firste above wrytten, for and concerninge my howse or tene[me]nt in the p[ar]ishe of Woodnesboroughe and all my other Landes tenents and hereditaments whatsoever sett lyenge and beinge in Woodnesboroughe aforesayde
Item I will and my mynde is th[a]t Agnes my wyfe shall have receyve and take to her owne use all the yssewes and profitts of my howse or ten[emen]te lyenge at or neare Messeboroughe in the sayde pish of Woodnesboroughe, and of all my other landes and hereitaments whatsoever lyenge in the sayde pishe of Woodnesbroughe untill my sonn Silvester shall fully accomplishe thage of xxiiij yeares if shee so longe shall live, she keepinge repacons [reparations] of my saide howse and paienge the lordes rente and doienge no strippe or waste in or uppon any parte of the sayde premisses
And if it shall happen the sayd Agnes my wyfe to decease before my sayde sonn Sylvester do accomplishe the sayde age of xxiiijth yeares then my will is that John Broke gent[leman] my overseer shall receyve the profitts of all and singuler the sayde premisses untill my sonne Sylvester accomplishe thage of xxiiijth yeares & of the sayde profitts so receyved to yeald unto my sayde sonne Sylvester at his saide age of xxiiijth yeares or to his heires if he be deade an accompte
Item I will unto Martha my seconde daughter xs ster[ling] shillinge and to be levyed in uppon or owte of my aforesayde howse or tenet. and all other my landes tents. & hereditaments whatsoever be[i]nge in the sayd pishe of Woodnesboroughe for and duringe the terme of her naturall lyfe yearely to be payde uppon the daie of the feaste of St. John the Baptiste, the first paimente thereof to be made The next feast of St. John the Baptiste next after the sayde Martha shall accomplishe her age of xviij yeares
And if it shall happen the sayde yearely rent of xs shillinge to be behinde and unpayd uppon the sayde feaste of St. Jon the Baptist in whiche it ought to be paide, that then it shalbe lawfull to and for the saide Martha and her assignes to enter in and uppon the sayde premisses, and every parte thereof, and to distraine, and the distres there so taken Lawfully to dryve, carry and with her to with houlde and impounde untill she be of the sayde rente of xs, and of tharrerage [the arrearage] (if any be) fully satisfyed contented and paid
And I geve unto Silvester my sonne all my saide howse or tenemente lands tents. and hereditaments whatsoever sett lyeng and beinge in the saide pishe of Woodnesboroughe (charged as before) when he shall full accomplishe thage of xxiiijth yeares To have and to holde to him the sayde Sylvester his heyres and assignes for ever

Thomas Saffery’s burial was 25th April 1582 at St. Mary, Woodnesborough, Kent.
Thomas Saffery married Annis Page 17 Oct 1564 at St. Nicholas, Ash (next-Sandwich), Kent.
Son Selvester Saffery was buried at Woodnesborough 7th May 1583.
Daughters were christened: Martha 5 Feb 1568/69; Martha 1 Jul 1571; Mary 9 Nov 1573.
Agnes Saffery (widow) married Henry Neame 2nd Nov 1584 at Woodnesborough.
