In the name of god Amen: I Henery Sapherye of the parishe of Eastrye in the County of Kent Husbandmane: beinge sicke of body but of good and perfecte Remembrannce thanks be gyven to god therefore doe make and ordayne this my last will and Testament in Mannere forme followeinge:
first I will and bequeathe my soule into the hands of the Almightye god and to Jesus christ his son my only lord and Savioure by whose most precious death I onely hope to be saved: As for my bodye I committ that unto the earth to be buried in Christian buriell at Tylmenstone churchyard neere unto my father by the discretion of my Executrix:
Item As concerninge my movable goodes I will and bequath them:

Item I will and my minde is to gyve and bequeath unto the poore of Eastrye aforesayde v s to be payd unto them at my buriall by the discration of my sayd executrix:
Item I will and bequeath unto the poore of Tylmenstone v s to be payd them likewise at my funirall by the discration of my sayd executrix:

Item I doe confesse and acknowledge that I doe owe and ame indebted unto my mother Joane Sapherye seaven powndes which came unto her by the death of my father Steven Sapherye late of the aforesayd parishe of Tilmenston: which sayd somme of vij l I will to be payd every quarter of a yeare xx s untyle the aforesayd debt of seven pounds be fully satisfyed and: the first payement to begyne at the feast of St John Baptist next comminge aftere the date hereof whether yt please god I live or dye and soe to continew every quarter aftere untyll yt be fullye satsfyed and payed

Item I will and bequeath unto my mother Joane Sapherye fyve pounds to be payd unto her within one halfe yeare next aftere my discease by my sayd executrix
Item I will and bequeath unto my brother William Sapherye Twentye shillinges to be payde hym at one yeares end next aftere my discease and yf my sayd brother William doe fortune to depart this life before yt be payd unto hym then my will and mynde is that his child Edene shall have yt the sayd xx s:

Item I will and bequeath unto my brother Steven Saphery a mare and a coult presentlye aftere my discease:
Item I will and bequeath unto my eldest syster Christian xx s to be payd her with one yeare next aftere my discease:
and yf yt please god my sayd syster to dye before yt be payd unto her then my mynd and will is yt shall be and remayne amongest her children to be equallye devided by my said executrix:
Item I will and bequath unto my syster Sara xx s to be payde her within a quarter of a year next after my discease and yf yt please god my sayd syster Sara to dye before yt be payd her then yt shall Remayne amongst her children:

Item I will and bequeath unto my two kinse wemene fyve pound apeece that is to saye my cossen Neme Etheridge v pound and unto my cossen Elizabeth Etheridge v pound: Neme Etheridge to be payd within two yeares next aftere my discease and Elizabeth shall have hers payd her within sixe yeares next aftere my descease to the payd unto them by my sayd Executrix and yf yt fortune that any of them doe depart this live before any one of them be payd them my mynd and will is that she soe livinge shall have and enjoye the others parte soe dyeinge:

Item I will and bequeath unto my godsonne William Etheridge the sonne of Michell Etheridge fortye shillinges to be payd within one quarter of a yeare next aftere my sayd discease by my sayd Executrix:
Item I will and bequeat all my sayd Moveable goodes both within dores and without unto my sayd wife Eaves whatsoever:
she payeinge all my debtes legacyes bequathes and funerall expences whatsoever whome I make and ordayne my sole executrix of this my last will and Testament
And I apoynt my cossen Henrye Gorhame my overseere of this my last will and testament and I gyve unto hym for his paynes a swarme of bees

This is the will and teastament of me the aforesayd Henery Sapherye and all othere wills and testaments hereto four made I utterlye revoke and disallow of
In witnes hererof I have set to my hand and seale the xviijth daye of March in the yeare of the raigne of our soveraigne Lord James by the grace of god of England Fraunce and Ireland Kinge defender of the faiyth etc the thirteene and of Scotland the eight and fourthith 1615
