In the Name of God Amen I Daniell Safry of the Parish of Ash next Sandw[i]ch in the County of Kent Yeoman being sicke and weake in body but of sound and perfect memory, praised be Almighty God, doe male this my last will and testament
And first I bequeath my soule into the hands of my Creator in hopes of a blessed resurreccon unto eternall life by the merritts of Jesus Christ and my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named and touching my temporall estate which the Lord hath blessed me with I doe order give and dispose as followeth

Inpri[mi]s I will and give unto my younger sonne Richard Safry my best bed and bedsted, coverlid, curtaines and vallances, blancketts with all such other furniture and appurtenances thereunto belonging as it now standeth and alsoe one halfe parte of all my household goods and utensells besides being equally devided by two indifferent men chozen by him and my Executor, so that end and purpose equally to be devded
Item I will and give unto Martha Denne now wife of David Denne the sume of twenty shillings to be pad her within one moneth after my decease

Item I will and give unto John Denne my grandson by my said Daughter the sume of tenne pounds of lawfull money of England, which is due to me upon bond in the hands and from my brother Osman Safry, to be paid him within six moneths afer my decease which tenn pounds I doe order my Executor to take receive and pay as abovesaid and upon non paym[en]t thereof to prosecute the law ag[ains]t my said brother by sueing of the bond to and for the recovery thereof to the use and intent aforesaid

Item I will and give unto Thomas Denne my grandsonne the sume of five pounds of like money to be paid him or to his use within twelve moneths after my decease
Item I will and give unto Mary Denne my granddaughter by my said daughter the sume of five pounds of like money to be paid to her within twelve moneths after my decease
Item I will and give to Elizabeth Denne my youngest granddaughter the sume of forty shillings of like money to be paid to her within two yeares after my decease
and my will is that my executor pay the said severall legacies given to my severall grandchildren into the hands of my sonne in lawe David Denne or in want of him to my said daughter their mother to be pr[e]served improved or imployed for their severall and respective uses as the said? bond? limitted?

Item I will and bequeath unto my eldest sonne John Safry my house lands tenements and hereditaments which I purchased of John Veneshion Yeoman and Stephen Solley gent and the heires of Thomas Harflett gent with their and every of their appurten[a]nces lying and being in the said parish of Ash with all writeings deeds evidences and muniments which concerne the same to him his heires and Assignes for ever

Item I will and give unto my youngest sonne Richard Safry all my other lands lying and adjoyning westward of my aforesaid lands in three peeces or parcells which I purchased of William Brigham, Clerke, with all writeings which concerne the same to my said sonne Richard his heires and assignes forever

Item all other my goods and Chattells whatsoever unbequeathed I will and give unto my said eldest sonne John Safry whome I make and ordaine my sole Executor of this my last will and testament he paying my debts and legacies and funerall expences, revokeing all other or former wills by me made

and doe declare this to be my last will and testament containeing two sheetes of paper unto the first of which I have sett my hand and to the second my hand and seale this twenty six day of February in the 24th yeare of the raigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles the second by the grace of God King of England Scotland France and Ireland defender of the faith etc. Anno dini 1671[/2]

Daniel Saffery, Housekeeper, was buried 5th March 1671/72 at St. Nicholas, Ash-next-Sandwich, Kent.
Daniel Saffery married Mary Dunston on 7th October 1630 at St. Nicholas, Ash-next-Sandwich, Kent.
