Imprimis I give and bequeath to my well beloved wife Mary Sale the interest of my whole stock till my daughter Ann Sale be of the age of one and twenty years and when my aforesaid daughter is of the compleat age of twenty one years that then my aforesaid wife is to have the sum of two hundred pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain out of the said stock for her own proper use
and in case my aforesaid daughter shall happen to decease before the age of twenty one years that then my aforesaid wife shall have the whole interest of my said stock during her natural life
Item I give to my aforesaid wife all that messuage or tenement situate and lying in the parish of Sundridge in the County of Kent on Bore Hill commonly called Stonewall until my aforesaid daughter be of the age of twenty one years compleat and in case my said daughter shall happen to dye before the age of twenty one years that then my aforesaid wife shall have the messuage or tenement during her natural life
And after the decease of my said daughter having no issue the said messuage or tenement to be possessed
and enjoyed by James Sale lawful son of my brother David Sale of the parish of Sundridge in the County of Kent aforesaid
And in case the said James happen to decease before the age of twenty one years that then the said
messuage or tenement shall be possessed and enjoyed by David Sale junior brother to the aforesaid James Sale
Item in case my beloved wife Mary Sale shall be with child at my decease and that child to live that then
my aforesaid daughter Ann and that child shall be coequal in the aforesaid premisses
Item and in case my daughter dyes under the age of twenty one years without issue [erased:
that then my stock shall be equally divided amongst my aforesaid brothers? Children]
(him who has the aforementioned house or tenement only excepted)
Item I give and bequeath to Robert Sale of the parish of Limsfield in the County of Surry
Also Item I give and bequeath to Richard Baker senior and Richard Baker junior of Chelfield Stephen Colegate of Seven Oaks all the aforesaid four named in the County of Kent [erased: and Robert Sale of Limsfield in the County of Surry] the sum of a half guinea to each to buy a ring whom I likewise constitute make and ordain my sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament
And I do hereby disallow revoke and disannull all and every other former Testaments Wills legacies and bequests and ex�ers by me in any way before named willed and bequeathed satisfying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament

sealed published pronounced and declared by the said James Sale as his last Will and Testament in the
presence of us the subscribers

Memorandum
Item I give and bequeath unto my two brothers viz�t Robert Sale of the parish of Limsfield (after the
decease of Mary Sale my beloved wife aforesaid and after the decease of my daughter Ann aforesaid or
children legitimate by me the said James Sale of my aforesaid wife Mary Sale) in the County of Surry and
David Sale of the parish of Sundridge in the County of Kent the whole interest and profits of my aforesaid
stock equally betwixt them during their natural lives and after y�r decease to be equally divided to the heirs
of my two brothers aforesaid
In witness .. of aforesaid But in case my wife shall happen to have a male child by me the aforesaid James
Sale that then the male child shall enjoy and possess the aforementioned house at Bore Hill commonly called Stone Wall

This will was proved at London the fifth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred
and forty six with a codicil annexed before the Worshipfull George Hay Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the
Right Worshipfull John Bettesworth also Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative
Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Richard Baker the elder one of the executors
named in the said will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and
Credits of the deceased being first sworn duly to administer
Power reserved to make the like Grant to Richard Baker the younger another Executor named in the said will when he shall apply for the same
Robert Sale and Stephen Colegate the other Executors first renouncing.
