Will of William Sales

of Orpington, Kent

I give devise and bequeath all my buildings (which are a four roomed wooden cottage and shed standing upon the ground of Joseph Jackson Esq. and a Cottage Carpenters Shop Ironmongers shop sawpit shed and two deal sheds which are standing upon the Isleworth Estate of which Mr. Jackson has a lease) unto my son John Sales who shall suffer his brother William Sales to have free occupation of the said buildings standing upon the said Isleworth Estate for life

All my household goods and furniture I give unto my daughter Naomi Mrs. Town and my said son John Sales

To my son in law John Wood I give the shoemakers shop
likewise all his just debts due to me I bequeath unto each of my daughters Martha Mrs. Bowers and Mary Ann Mr. Gibbs

Should any property of mine or any to which I am entitled remain after the foregoing shall have been executed I will and direct it to be equally divided amongst all my children and I do hereby appoint my two sons John and William Sales Executors of this my will hereby revoking all former wills by me heretofore made declaring this to by my said last will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of Oct�r in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one � William Sales � Signed sealed declared and published by the above named William Sales as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto

Proved at London 6th May 1852 before the Worshipful George Edward Hughes Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the oath of John Sales the son one of the Executors to whom admon was granted having been first sworn duly to administer. Powere reserved of making the like grant to William Sales the son also the other Executor when he shall apply for the same.
