In the Name of God Amen I Ann Salmon of Maidstone in the Parish of Kent Spinster being of sound and disposing Mind and Memory (praised be God) do make and ordain this this to be my Last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say)

I Give and bequeath unto my Niece Margaret Waterman Widow an Annuity of Ten pounds per Annum during her Life by quarterly payments on Lady Day, Midsummer, Michaelmas and Christmas, the First of the said payments to begin and be made by my Executor hereinafter named on the First of the said days which shall happen next after my decease

Also I Give and bequeath unto my Brother John Salmon Ten pounds for Mourning
Also I Give unto John Waterman Son of he said Margaret Two hundred pounds Capital Stock in the Reduced Bank Annuities now standing in my Name to be Transferred to him by my Executor within six Months next after my decease
Also I Give and bequeath unto the said Margaret Waterman and her said Son John Ten pounds each for Mourning

Also I Give and bequeath unto James Waterman Son in Law of the said Margaret Twenty pounds to be paid within one year after my decease
Also I Give and bequeath unto Robert Salmon Son of my late Nephew Colin Twenty pounds and to his Sister Ten pounds to be severally paid them on their attaining their respective ages of twenty one years

Also I Give and bequeath unto Mrs. Hall Twenty pounds; unto Ann Gill, Spinster Ten pounds;
unto Mrs. Kemp and Mrs. Walter my next door Neighbours Five pounds Each
to be severally paid them by my Executor within Six Months after my decease

Also I Give and bequeath Ten pounds to be distributed by my Executor now and amongst such of his Poor Tenants in Maidstone aforesaid as he shall think proper objects of Charity
Also I Give and bequeath unto Ann Davis my now Servant if she shall be Living with me at my decease Five pounds and all my wearing apparel

And after all the Just Debts which I shall owe at my decease my Funeral Exepences and the aforesaid Legacies are satisfied and paid I Give and bequeath all the Rest and Residue of my ready Money, Securities for Money, Stocks, Plate, Rings, Jewels, Chattels, Effects and Personal Estate of what nature of kind soever or wheresoever it shall be which I shall be possessed of, interested in or Entitled to at my Decease unto my Nephew Robert Salmon of Hollingbourne in the County of Kent whom I constitute and appoint Sole Executor of this my Will and hereby revoking all former Wills by me made declare this only to be and contain my Last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Twenty First day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Seventy one

This Will was proved at London the twenty First day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Seventy two before the Worshipfull Francis Simpson, Doctor of Laws and Surrogate of the Right Worshipfull George Hay, also Doctor of Laws, Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, Lawfully Constituted by the Oath of Robert Salmon the Nephew of the deceased and Sole Executor named in the said Will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased having been First sworn duly to administer.
