In the name of God Amen Memorandum that July Fifteenth One thousand six hundred fortie & nine
I Mary Savidge of the parishe of Hearne in ye County of Kent Widdow beinge sicke in body but of good and p’fect [perfect] remembrannce (blessed be God) doe make and ordaine this my p’sent [present] Testament and last Will in manner and forme followinge

Imprimis I bequeath mine eldest daughter Margarett to bee Executor of this my last Will and Testament

Item to mine youngest daughter Mary I give out of the Courts from her fathers Estate the some of Fourteen pounds
Item likewise I give to mine youngest daughter one joyne bedd already furnished as now is, More likewise three peeces of pewter and one Lynnen Wheele
All w'ch to bee paid w'thin Two yeares after my decease

Item my will is that if either of my said daughters shall die before they enter into Wedlocke, that then they shalbe each others heire

Likewise my desire is that Richard Sturges bee Overseere of this my last Will and Testament
Soe I bequeath my body to the earth, and my Soule to God w'ch gave it,
whereunto I sett my hand and seale

Wittnes to the same Richard Sturges - Richard Reade - Edward Jonson by his marke

Probatum fuit: 8th August 1649 - to Margaret Savidge.

Notes:
29th November 1632 Stephen Savage married Mary Frind at St. Martin, Herne. Only one daughter found - christened there on 13th September 1635 – Mary. Margaret’s christening is not found.
Stephen Savage was buried at Herne on 13th May 1640.
