In the name of God Amen This Fower day of August one thousand six hundred fortie nyne
I Tamsen Savage Widdow of the Parish of Wingham in the countie of Kent, being sicke in bodie butt of perfect memorie thankes bee to God, doe bequeath my Soule to God that gave it, and my bodie to be buryed att the discretion of my Executor hereafter named, doe make and ordayne this to be my last will and testament, and doe hereby revoke all former wills by me made whatsoever in manner and forme followinge

Item I give and bequeath unto Mildred and Mary Savage my two daughters All my household stuffe, to be equally devided betwixt them within Six weekes after my decease

Item my mind and will is, That my Executor doe pay to my daughter Mildred the sume of Tenn pounds given her by her Father as a legacie, within one moneth after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto Mary Savage my daughter, Tenn pounds, to be paide to her within one moneth after my decease by my executor hereafter named

Item I give to my daughter Elizabeth the wife of Will. Binge of the Parish of Prestone (next Wingham) in the foresayd Countie the sume of Twelve pence, to be paid her by my Executor within one moneth after my decease

Item I give to my sonne John Savage the sume of Fortie shillinges to be pay(d) him within three moneths after my decease by my Executor hereafter named

All the residue of my goods and chattells and my house and the backside I now live in, lying in the parish of Wingham in the foarsay [foresaid] Countie of Kent I give unto Will. Savage my sonne;
whom I make and ordayne my Sole Executor of this my last will and testament

In Witnes whereof I have sett to my hand and seale the marke of Tamsen Savage

Sealed in the p’sents [presence] of Henry Burckett, Thomas Adames

Probatum fuit: decimo tertio die mensis Octobris (13th October) [1649] to Willim. Savage

Notes:
Tamsen Savage’s burial is not found - probably because of the Commonwealth.
John Savage married Tamsen Ovill on 18th October 1616 at St. Margaret, Womenswold.
Their children (all christened at Wingham):
10 Oct 1616 Elyzabeth; 10 Oct 1619 John; 24 Sep 1626 William; 10 Jan 1629 Mary. Mildred’s christening is not found.
John Savage (the father) died and was buried at Wingham on 24th July 1641.
