In the name of God Amen The Four and Twentieth day of August in the Eighth Year of the reign of our sovereign Lady Anne by the grace of God of Great Britain France & Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith etc. Anno Dini 1709
I Thomas Savage of Kingsnorth in the County of Kent Yeoman being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and perfect memory (thanks be given to Almighty God for the same) do make and ordain my last Will and Testament in writing in manner & form following
And I doe willingly and with a free heart render up my Soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping through the death and passion of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to be saved and my body I leave to the Earth from whence it came to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named and as touching that worldly Estate which by the blessing of God I enjoy I give and dispose thereof as followeth

Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my Son William Savage the sum of fifty pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid unto him by my Executrix within one Year next after my decease
Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Thomas Savage the sum of fifty pounds of like lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid unto him by my Executrix within one Year next after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary the Wife of William Bourne the sum of Thirty pounds of like lawfull money due to me from Thomas Hills upon a Mortgage and all interest that shall be due thereon at my decease
And if it shall happen that the said Mortgage shall be paid off and discharged by the said Thomas Hills his Heirs Executors Adstratrs. [Administrators] or Assigns before the death and decease of me the said Thomas Savage then I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Mary Bourne the said Sum of Thirty pounds to be paid unto her by my said Executrix within one Year next after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto William and Elianor Bourne the two Children of my said daughter Mary Bourne the Sum of Ten pounds apiece of like lawfull money to be paid unto them by my Executrix hereinafter named at their severall and respective ages of One & Twenty Years

Item I give and bequeath unto my Son in Lawe Thomas Standly the sum of Five pounds of like lawfull money to be paid him by my Executrix hereinafter named within one Year next after my decease
Item I give and bequeath unto my Grandson Thomas Standly Son of my said Son Thomas Standly the Sum of Ten pounds of like lawfull money to be paid unto him by my Executrix hereinafter named at his age of One and Twenty Years

Item I give and bequeath unto my Brother Daniel Savage of Maidstone in the County aforesaid Sawyer and unto my Nephew Abraham Beard Son of my late dec’d Sister Elianor Beard the sum of five pounds apiece of like lawfull money to be paid unto them by my Executrix hereinafter named within one Year next after my decease

Item I make and ordain my loving Wife Mary Savage whole and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament to whom after my Debts Legacies Funerall Expences and the Charges of Proving this my Will are fully paid and discharged I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my ready money Goods Chattells Household stuff and Implements of Household stuff and all othr my Estate of what nature or kind soever

And lastly I nominate and appoint my trusty and well beloved Friend John Braybrook of Kingsnorth aforesaid Yeoman to be Overseer of this my Will desiring him to see the same carefully performed according to the true intents and meaning thereof and to be aiding & assisting my said Executrix in and about the performance thereof and for his pains to be taken therein I give and bequeath unto him Two Guineas

And I do hereby revoake all former Wills by me heretofore made and declare this to be my last Will and Testament
In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Savage have to this my last Will and Testament containing one whole Sheet of paper and this part of a Sheet, to the whole Sheet I have only set my name and to this part of a sheet my name and Seal Dated the day and year first above written
