Imprimis I give bequeath and devise unto my Nephews Richard Savage John Savage and Geo: Savage the Sonns of my Brother Robert Savage and to their Heirs for ever all that Messuage or Tenement Lands and premises called or known by the name of Crows scituate lying and being in the Parishes of Snodland and Birling in the said County of Kent But my Will and meaning is that in case any of the said Brothers happen to dye before they shall attaine to their severall ages of Twenty one years his part of the said Lands so given as aforesaid to be and remaine to the Surviving Brothers and to their Heirs for ever
And also my mind and Will is That all the rent of that Farme called Crows soe devised as aforesaid shall be putt out to Interest by my Executor till the youngest Sonn of them three shall attaine to the age of one and Twenty years and then to be equally devided betweene them or the Survivor or Survivors of them
Item I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Richard Savage aforesaid the Sume of one Hundred Pounds of Lawfull money of Great Brittaine to be paid to him by my Executor hereinafter mentioned when he shall come out of his time of his apprenticeshipp for the setting of him up in his Trade
Item I give and Bequeath unto my Nephews John Savage and George Savage aforesaid the Sume of Twenty Pounds a peice of like lawfull money to be paid them by my Executor when they shall attaine to their severall ages of one and Twenty yeares
Item I give bequeath and devise unto my Cosen Richard Burgis Son of William Burgis and to his Heirs for ever all that peece or parcel of Woodland called or knowne by the name of Brimpwood scituate and lyeing in Ladesdowne aforesaid as also all that Messuage or Tenement wherein William Sandcock now lives lyeing in Ladesdowne aforesaid to him and his Heirs for ever
Item I give and Bequeath unto Mr. Thorneton the Minister of Ladesdowne aforesaid the Sume of Five Guineas for the preaching of my Funerall Sermon to be paid to him by my Executor in a weeke after my decease and buriall
Item I give and Bequeath unto the Poore of Ladesdowne aforesaid the Sume of Five Pounds to be paid to them in a fortnight next after my buriall
Item I give and Bequeath unto my Neece Mary Hayes the daughter of Bonham Hays of Cobham in the said County of Kent Gent(leman) the Sume of one hundred Pounds to be paid to her by my Executor at her day of Marryage
Item I give and Bequeath unto my Brother Richard Savage and Ellen his Wife one shilling a peece to be
paid to them severally by my Executor in a Month after my decease
as likewise I give and Bequeath unto George Savage and Richard Savage Sons of the said Richard Savage one Shilling a peece
to be paid to them severally by my Executor within a Month after my decease
Item I give and Bequeath unto my Brother Robert Savage the Sume of one Hundred Pounds of like
lawfull money as alsoe all my Booke Debts and doe hereby make and ordaine him to be my only and sole Executor
And all the rest and residue of my Goods Chattells Lands and Tenements whatsoever I doe hereby give
Bequeath and devise unto my said Brother Robert Savage and to his Heirs for ever
In Witness whereof I declare this to be my last Will and Testament being conteyned in three Sheets of
paper to the two first I have sett my hand and to this last Sheete my hand and Seale

Notes:
John Savage was buried at SS Peter & Paul, Luddesdown on 6th December 1714.
Brother Richard Savage married Ellen Hodges, otp., on 11th March 1685 at All Saints, West Farleigh.
Their sons were baptised as follows (both at St. Mary Magdalen, Cobham:
25 Jul 1690 George; 30 Aug 1697 Richard.
Brother Robert Savage married ? (her name not given) on 8th January 1693/4; and their children were
baptised as follows (all at All Saints, Snodland):
21 Jun 1693 Richard; 14 Dec 1698 John; 16 Apr 1700 George; 27 Jan 1701 Mary.
It appears the 3 brother’s Savage may well have been born and baptised in the Commonwealth and are thus not recorded.
