In the Name of God Amen I John Savage of Maidstone in the County of Kent, Carpenter, being weak in body but of sound mind and perfect memory and Understanding (praised be Almighty God for the same) do this prsent twenty ninth day of January in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and three make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in Writing in manner and forme following (that is to say)
First and principally I give my soule into the hands of Allmighty God my Creator hoping and assuredly believing in and through the Merits and Mediacon of my blessed Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and remission of all my Sinns and to be made Partaker of Everlasting Joy and life
Next I comitt my body to the Earth to be decently buried by and at the discrecon of my Executors hereinafter named And as touching my worldly Goods and small Estate which God of his Mercy hath bestowed upon me I give leave and dispose of the same as followeth, to witt,

I give devise and bequeath unto my Sons James Savage and Thomas Savage and unto their heirs forever All that my small messuage or Tenement with the Garden and Appurtenances thereunto belonging now in the Tenure or Occupacon of Netter Webb or his Assignes situat and being in Maidstone aforesaid in the Burrough of West Tree there and next adjoyning to my owne dwelling house Southerly equally betwixt them two share and share alike

Provided alwayes nevertheless and my Will and meaning is that each of my two said Sons shall and do well and truely pay or cause to be paid within twelve Months next after my decease the respective sume of five pounds of Currant English Money unto my Daughter Mary Savage
and in Case of Refusal or Default of Payment of the Same I do hereby empower and order my said daughter to enter thereupon and to take receive and have to her owne proper use and benefit the Rents and profits thereof untill she shall be fully satisfied and paid each respective Sum of five pounds and every part thereof

Item I give I give and bequeath unto my said Sons and daughter namely James, Thomas and Mary all and singular my household goods, ready Moneys, Plate, Linnen, Woollen, beding, brass, pewter and all other my in door Goods, Chattells and Implements whatsoever to be equally shared, shifted and divided between them three share and share like (my debts and Funeral Expences being first paid and discharged)

And I do hereby make nominate constitute and appoint my said two Sons James Savage and Thomas Savage to be joynt Executors of this my prsent last Will and Testament revoking and absolutely unulling and making void all former and other Wills by me at any time or times heretofore made

John Savage married Christian Lee 10 Apr 1654 at All Saints, Maidstone.
