In the Name of God Amen
I Deborah Savage of Maidstone in (the County of) Kent Spinster now in health and of sound mind and knowing the uncertainty of Life do make and declare this mu last Will and Testament

First I will and bequeath unto my Friend Ann Jenkins of Maidstone, Widow the Sum of Forty Pounds and all my Household Linnen and Furniture
And I give unto my Cousin Ann Spires my Green Damask Gown my Brown Tabby Gown and my Crape [Crepe] Gown and my Black Silk Gown and Sattin Cloak
And I give unto my Cousin William Green and his Wife and also to Thomas Stevenson each of them a Mourning Ring
and also a Mourning Ring to Ann Spires and my old Friend Edward Pierce a Mourning Ring
And I Will and bequeath to my Nephew Samuel Mills my Silver Ring
and to Benjamin Mills my Nephew my large Silver Spoons
and my Niece Lydia Mills my two Damask Table Cloths

All the rest and residue of my Effects whether in Government Securities or elsewhere I give and bequeath unto my Niece Sarah Mills

And I do hereby appoint Benjamin Mills of Moorfields my Executor to this my last Will and Testament

This Will was proved at London the twenty third day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy eight before the Worshipful Andrew Coltee Duracel Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful Sir George Hay Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Benjamin Mills the sole Executor named in the said Will to whom admon. [administration] was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the deceased having been first sworn duly to adminster.

Notes:
Deborah Savage was christened 26th January 1696 at St. Mary the Virgin, Burham, d. of James and Elizabeth Savage.
James Savage of Burham married Elizabeth Pauley (Pawley), otp., All Saints, Maidstone on 1st May 1693.
Deborah Savage was buried at Maidstone on 24th July 1778, aged 78.
Father James Savage was buried at Maidstone on 20th May 1701.
Elizabeth (her mother)’s re-marriage or burial have not been found.
