Notes:
John Savage was buried at St. Mary Magdalene, Cobham aged 79 on 12th October 1852.
Wife Isabella Savage was buried at Cobham, aged 85, on 11th February 1861.
John Savage had married Isabella Fenner (Ba. & Sp., both otp.) on 13th February 1798. Witnesses were: Sophia Fenner and Mary Savage.
Their children (all christened at Cobham) – and, unusually, I have all their burial dates as well:
27 Dec 1798 John Fenner (Bu.: 19 Aug 1848); 24 Jul 1800 William Henry (Bu.: 13 Dec 1831); 19 Aug 1802 Edward Bodman (Bu.: 28 Jan 1864); 24 Jan 1805 George (Bu.: 6 Aug 1875); 9 Jun 1808 Caroline (Bu.: 22 Jan 1894); 19 Apr 1810 Maria Amelia (Bu.: 28 Jun 1878); 14 Jun 1812 Mary Ann (Bu.: 10 Jul 1878). The ladies all died as Spinsters.
In the 1851 Census, Son George Savage was unmarried and a Farmer aged 42, born Cobham, Kent.
However, he was in the Kent County Prison at Maidstone, at this time - oops!
John Savage (of this Will) was christened 8th October 1773, s. of John and Sarah Savage at All Saints, West Farleigh.
See father John Savage’s Will: PROB 11/1252/33 Will of John Savage, Yeoman of West Farleigh, dated 20th July 1791 with a Codicil dated 15th February 1794 and proved 8th November 1794
(This is a very detailed Will and includes many of the linked-in families).
