After his sonne Joshua Sayer is sixteen and goes to [ap]prentice my Exors. take his proportion of 1/3 of 40li and put it out for him untill he come to 21 yeares, and also the girls at 16 haveing mony according to the Executors discrecon,
My wife and children to take the house where John Noston late lived in or Thomas Howlands late lived in to be sufficiently repaired
by my Exors. with 2 children [cauldron?] of coales in Thomas Howlins house and all the burning wood about the yard
To my wife the like proportion of 1/3 of 40li per annum and her house rent free two Children? of coales yearly and two load of burning wood
If my wife marry to take 100li & all her owne goods she brought and goe with her husband
My Exors. if differences arise two of them shall chuse 2 men to end their differences
Son and daughter each a double double loone at 21 or when my Executors shall thinke fitt, & the boy his own wedding ring
& the girl her two small rings vizt hart & hand & all her mothers wearing linnen Elizabeth Hollons house and backside after her mothers

The house and all the yard where he lives to Joseph and his heires of his body, and for want of issue to his sister and her heires all fee simple
And also the black jacks? and halfe an acre to his son forever with the leases & ground for the backeyard to his son
My wife Ann after she hath taken her owne goods to her house, then to take what household goods of mine that she thinkes fitt to furnish it
To the girle 80li at marriage or 21 (years)
If my two Children die without issue and before 21 yeares my estate reall and personall that I give
halfe my estate to my sonne and dafter [daughter] to the Richard, Mary and Alice Smith, son and

Dan: Marten & Wm Gammon heard the depart(ed) Stephen Sayer say that if any suite of law and
charges shall happen to be concerning Mathew Smithes busines? which was her former husband('s),
That what law charges the Executors should be at, or mony paid by a verdict or verdicts it
should be paid by his wife and Children proportionable the accon [action] being commenced? in
Stephen Sayers lifetime, by the said Mathew Smith's brother Edward Smith

Stephen Sayer was buried at St. Leonard, Deal, Kent on 1 Feb 1683/84
Son Joshua Sayer was baptised at St. Leonard on 3 Sep 1671, s. of Stephen & Mary.
Daughter Elizabeth was baptised there 20 Mar 1678/79.
Daughter Martha & son Stephen died as infants.
Mary the wife of Stephen Sayer was buried at St. Leonard 17 Jun 1679.
Stephen Sayer was to re-marry by Licence: Sayer, Stephen of Deal, Shipwright, widower and Ann Smith, same parish, Widow. At St. Andrew,
Canterbury, 6 Jun 1682.
