In the Name of God Amen I William Scrafton Clerk Rector of Pauls Cray in the County of Kent Being at this time by God�s favour in tolerable health of body and of mind and understanding to dispose of my worldly Goods Do make this my last Will and Testament in manner following
first I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God beseeching him to Accept it according to the multitude of his Mercies to purify it with the most precious Blood of Jesus Christ in Confidence of whose Merits and Mediation alone I hope for the Pardon of my Sins and Eternal Life As for Body I desire it may be Privately buried at the discretion of my Wife
And as for my Worldly Goods wherewith God has been pleased to bless me I dispose of and give them away in manner following

Whereas I have sufficiently advanced to my two Sons Richard and William Scrafton and to my Daughter Frances Sharpe their share and Portion of my Estate therefore I give to each of them the Sum of five Shillings to be paid them immediately after my Burial

And as to the rest and residue of my Debts Goods Chattells and Personall Estate I give to my Wife Frances Scrafton whom I appoint my sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my Name and Seal this third Day of December in the Eighth Year of our Sovereigne Lord King George the Second and in the Year of Our Lord King George the Second and in the Year of Our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Thirty four Wm Scrafton
