In the Name of God Amen I Frances Scrafton of Saint Pauls Cray in the County of Kent Widow being of a Sound Mind and Memory Do make and Publish this my last Will and Testament as follows
First I recommend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God beseeching him to Accept it And According to the Multitude of his Mercys to Purify it with the most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ in confidence of whose Merits and Mediation alone I hope for the Pardon of my Sins and eternal Life
and as for my Body I desire it may be Privately buried (if I Dye at Saint Pauls Cray) by the remains of my Husband but if I Dye in the City of London then I desire to be buried in the Church Yard of Saint Anne Staining Mark by my Grand Children and as for the Goods wherewith God hath been Pleased to bless me I Do give them away in manner following

First I Give and bequeath unto my Son Richard Scrafton the Sum of Ten Guineas to be Paid him at the End of three Months after my Decease (without Interest)
but if my said son shall Dye before the Expiration of three Months after my Decease then I Give the said Sum of Ten Guineas to my Grandson Richard Scrafton

and whereas I am Possessed of Five hundred Pounds Stock in the Million Bank I Will and direct I Will and direct that the interest and divident of the Same Stock be Paid to and received by my loving Daughter Frances Sharpe the Wife of Mr Thomas Sharpe Grocer of London for and during her natural Life for her Sole and Seperate use and Benefit notwithstanding her coverture and her Receipts shall be a Sufficient discharge for the same

And I Do give and bequeath the said Five hundred Pounds Stock in the Million Bank as follows that is to say
I Give and bequeath to my Grandson Thomas Sharpe three hundred Pounds Stock Part of the said Five hundred Pounds Stock in the Million Bank to be Transferred to him when he shall Attain the Age of three and Twenty Years Subject to his said Mother�s Life and interest therein as aforesaid
and as for the remaining two hundred Pounds Stock in the Million Bank aforesaid I Do Give and bequeath that to my Grandson Lancelot Sharpe when he shall Attain the Age of three and Twenty Years Subject to his said Mother�s Life and Interest therein as aforesaid

but if either of these my Grandsons Thomas or Lancelot or both shall dye before the age of Three and twenty then Shall their Parts be equally divided between my Grand Daughters Frances and Dorothy Share and Share alike
And if my two Grand Daughters Frances and Dorothy Sharpe shall Dye before the Age of One and Twenty then I Give and bequeath their Part or Parts to and among such other of the Children of my Daughter Frances Sharpe by the said Thomas Sharpe as Shall be living at the time of the Decease of their Said Mother Payable to them in Such manner and by Such Proportions as my said Daughter Frances Sharpe in her life time by any Deed or Writing or by her last Will and Testament notwithstanding her coverture direct Limit and appoint

And as to the Mortgage of three hundred Pounds now due to me on Houses in Bow lane London and all interest thereon I Do Give and devise the same unto my Son in Law Mr Thomas Sharpe in full Satisfaction and Claim of the like Sum of three hundred Pounds which he is intitled to at the time of my Decease under his Wife�s Marriage Articles

All the rest and residue of my Estate of what kind or nature soever after Payment of my just Debts and funeral Charges I Give devise and bequeath to my said Son in Law Mr Thomas Sharpe Grocer and Citizen of London and his Heirs to and for his and their use and benefit

and I do hereby nominate constitute and Appoint the said Mr Thomas Sharpe Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making Void all former Wills by me heretofore made do publish and declare this to be my only last Will and Testament

In Witness I the said Frances Scrafton Testatrix have to this my last Will and Testament contained in two Sheets of Paper all written with my own hand and have Set my hand to the First Sheet and my hand and Seal to the Second Sheet hereof and fastened the same at the top with my Seal in the twenty second Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the Second and in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and forty eight Frances Scrafton
