In the name of God Amen the Eightenth day of December in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand Six hundred ninety & three
I Henry Seager of Milton next Sittingbourne in the County of Kent Yeoman being sick & weake of body but of sound p[er]fect & disposeing mind & memory (praised be therefore given to Allmighty God) do make & declare this my Last will & Testament in manner & forme Following (that is to say)
Inprs [Imprimis] I Comend my Soule into the hands of Allmighty God my Creator trusting & assuredly beleiveing thro' the alone meritts meritorious death & passion of my onely Saviour & Redeemer Jesus Christ to have free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins & to attain everlasting Joy & happiness with the Saints & Angells in Heaven
and my body I comitt to the Earth to be buryed at the discretion of my deer & Loveing wife Elizabeth in the Churchyard of the p[ar]ish Church of Minster in the Isle of Sheppey in the sd. County of Kent neer my late father Adam Seagar Dec'd
Item I will that my Executors hereinafter named shall within some convenient tyme after my Interment cause my name & age to be cutt on my said Late Fathers Tombstone

Item I give Susan Templeman daughter of my Kinsman Edward Templeman at her age of Sixteen yeares forty shillings of Lawfull money of England to be paid her by my Executors hereinafter named

Item from & after payment of all my debts funerall charges & Expences in & about the p[ro]bate of this my will I give & bequeath unto my sd. deer and Loveing wife Elizabeth one full moiety or halfe p[ar]te of all my goods chattells and p[er]sonall estate whatsoever
Item the other moiety or halfe part thereof or the reall vallue thereof (in) moneyes I give & bequeath unto the child my sd. wife now goeth with to be paid unto her (if a daughter) at the age of eighteen yeares (if a son at his age of one & twenty yeares)

Item I give & devise unto my said deer & Loveing wife Elizabeth all that my messuage or Tenement & halfe a Sheepes Hed [head?] with the appurt[enance]s Scituate and being in Queenborow within the Isle of Sheppey aforesd. now or late in the tenure or occupation of Abraham Cox or of his farmer or undertenants to have & to hold to her my said wife Elizabeth for and dureing the terme of her naturall life she keeping the same in good and sufficient repaire & Imediatey from and after her decease I give & devise the same unto the sd. Child my said wife Elizabeth now goeth with It's heires & assignes for ever

Item my will and mind is that my sd. wife Elizabeth shall have the use of that moiety or halfe pte of my goods chattells & p[er]sonall estate or moeny therein before by me given unto the sd. child (my sd. wife Elizabeth now goeth with for the bringing of it up unto its age of eighteen yeares (if a daughter) or one & twenty yeares if a Son)

Item my further will & mind is that if the sd. Child my said wife Elizabeth now goeth with shall not be borne alive or shall happen to dye before it shall attain the age of eighteen yeares (if a daughter) or his age of one & twenty yeares (if a son) & without issue that then my sd. wife Elizabeth shall have the use of that moiety & halfe pte of my sd goods chattells & psonall estate or money as aforesd therein before by me given to the said child my sd wife Elizabeth now goeth with for and during the term of her naturall life

& imediately from and after her Decease my will & mind is that the sd Moiety or halfe pte of my sd goods chattells & psonall estate or money to the value thereof as aforesd be paid unto my Kinsmen Joseph Templeman the younger & Edward Templeman, sons of my late Sister Mary Templeman Decd, late wife of Joseph Templeman the elder, or the Survivor of them unto whome I do hereby give & bequeath the same
As also all that my messuage or Tenement & halfe a Sheepes Hed with the appurt's herein before by me given & devised unto my said wife Elizabeth for and during the terme of her naturall life To have & to hold to them the said Joseph Templeman the younger and Edward Templeman their heires & assigns for ever

Item whereas the said Joseph Templeman the elder hath given me a Letter of Attorney to receive the Rents of his two houses (to witt) one in Sittingbourne aforesaid & the other in Queenborow aforesd for and towards the bringing up of the sd Joseph Templeman the younger and the said Edward Templeman and whereas the sd Joseph Templeman the younger is p[ro]vided for and put out an Apprentice my will & mind is that my sd wife Elizabeth shall Receive the Rents of the sd two houses (and keep the same in good and sufficient Repaire & bring up the said Edward Templeman untill he attaine his age of one & twenty years without requiring any other Satisfaccon for the same

Item I doe make & ordaine my sd wife Elizabeth & my father in Law Mr. John Hissell Executors of this my Last will and Testament and I doe hereby Revoke & make void all other wills & Testaments by me heretofore made or published and do declare this to be my Last will and testament

In Witness whereof I the sd. Henry Seagar have to this my last Will & Testament contained in two sheets of paper set my hand & seal to either sheet thereof the day & yeare first above written

Notes:
Henry Seager was buried 13th April 1694 at SS Mary & Sexburga, Minster, on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent.
His father Adam Segar, was buried there on 14th September 1689.
A son Henry was born to Henry & Elizabeth and baptised at Milton on 4th April 1694.
