In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Sedgwick of the Parish of Dartford in the County of Kent Widow being at this time of sound mind and usual health of body but considering the uncertainty of life do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following
I recommend my Immortal and never dying Soul to God its Great Creator trusting in his Divine Mercy through the Merits of Jesus Christ to be received by him to Glory Everlasting
And I commit my body to be decently buried at the discretion of my after named Executor

Item I give and bequeath to my Nephew William Newton Junr All my Barges with business as carried on in my life time to be by him solely enjoyed

Item I give and bequeath unto my Five Sisters and my said Nephew namely Ann Wild Sarah Tubman Mary Dawes Jane Newton Lydia Yeoman and Willm Newton Junr All my other Effects of Stock in Trade ready money Book debts Household Furniture and all other things and effects that at the time of my decease I shall stand possessed of to be equally divided amongst them share and share alike without any reserve save as by this my Will reserved

and I do constitute my good friend Mr John Hards as Executor to this my said Will requesting him to accept as a token of my respect one Guinea and a half for a Mourning ring and that he be allowed all such necessary expences as may occur in the business

and do declare this to be my last Will and Testament bearing date this twenty first day of April in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety six
