The last Will and Testament Nuncupative of Jane Sedt widdow and Relict of Cornelius Sedt late of the parish (of St. Mary North)gate? within the Cittie of Canterbury deceased by her made and (on or) about the Sixth day of June Anno Domini one thousand six hundred (and forty seven) shee being then of good and perfect mynde and memory and having a full (intent?) and purpose to dispose of her Estate and make her will by word of mouth in these or the like words following Vizt.

Shee sayd and affirmed that James Sedt her sonne should have the summe of one and thirty pounds in moneye in lieu and satisffaction of his marriage parte that is to say twentie pounds for his marriage porcon [portion] Tenn pounds for his wedding garments and feast and Twenty shillings for his Marriage Rings

And shee further willed and gave unto him the bedd whereon he lay with the bedstedle and all other things thereunto belonging and one party coloured Coverlidd one Silver Cupp two payre of sheetes two table Cloathes two Towells one Loome and furniture without with twelve good shirtes and Muskett which is now in the house three of the fayrest chayres and Cushions one payre of bellowes one payre of tonges one fyre pann the great payre of pothangers one presse to keepe Cloathes in one Gridiron one looking glasse one great Cubboard the two lesser tables one quart pott of pewter which was her Mothers Sixe linnen wearing bands and a little bage? to put linnen in and one pewter Saltseller

And all the rest of her goods Cattells Chattells ready money and personall estate whatsoever and wheresoever, her debts buriall and all other necessary charges paid and defrayed shee willed and declared should be divided into Sixe equall partes whereof
Samuell Sedt her sonne to have one sixt parte
Abraham Sedt one other of her sonnes another sixt parte
Mary Sedt als [alias] de Spaigne now wife of John de Spaigne of the Cittie of Canterbury silke dyer her daughter another sixt parte
Cornelius Sedt an other of her sonnes one other sixt parte
the Children of Isaacke Sedt her sonne deceased one other sixt parte equally to be divided betweene them
And an other sixt parte of the sayd residue my will and mynde to goe unto the aforesayd James Sedt her sonne

in the presence of Abraham Sedt James Sedt and Susan the wife of Cornelius Sedt
wittnesses Abraham Sedt James Sedt Susan Sedt

Probatum fuit: 11th December 1647 to Cornelius Sedt and Mary Sedt alias de Spaigne
