This is the Will and ordnnce of Willm Serlys of Wy(e) made the day and the year afor rehersed
First he will that Jone his wyff aftr his deceasse shall have the p[ro]fits of halfe of his lands and ten[emen]ts unto the tyme that John
and Thomas his sonys come to the age of xxij [22] yers yf she hold her (self) sole
and that of Haffyndell shalbe disposid for the soule of the said Willm to pay wt his detts & bequethis [bequests] and deds [deeds] of Charte unto
the said sonys come to the forseid age be his exor [executor] and also be his feoffs [feoffors]
And yf the seid Johne be maried than the said feoffors and execut[ors] shall graunt to the seid Johne yerly be all her lyff of all the landis and
tents of the seid Willm xls
Also the seid Willm Will that his exors shall delyvr to evry of his sonys When thei come to the age of xvij [17] yers seid v mark and be {by] the discrecion of his seid execut[ors] and feoffes so yt putt in to oncresse [increase] of the seid sonys
Also he Will that his execut. delyvr to Jone his doughtr wt ine [within] v yeris [5 years] next aftr his dett [death], xli [£10] yf she than leve and yf she dye wtine the seid v year then her childrn have it when any of them is xviij [18] yers old evynly deptid [divided]
Also he Will that Willm Payn and Thomas at Hale have governance of all his shep undr and be the avise [advisor] and aftr the distrecion
of his exors unto his sonnys to xvj yers old and then the(y) to take ovrsight of them And when thei come to the age of xviij yers the childryn shal
have the oncresse of iij parts clerely and the iiijth pte of (the) encresse (to) remayn to Jone his wyff yf she be sole and yf she be maried the
said iiijth pte of the encresse to be disposied be [by] the discretion of his executr
And when the seid childryn bye xxiiij yers old the said Willm Payn and Thomas Halle delyvr to the seid sonys the stok wt all the incresse by the
discrecion of his execut(or) for the Which labor Willm Payn shal have yerly vjs viijd and Thomas Halle xs
And yf any of the seid ovrseers dye afore the Age of the seid childryn, he that ovrlevase [overlives] shal take a felow to hym (to) be the avise
of his execut(or)
Also he will that his dettors pay the money that thei owe to hym in all plac[e]s And wt that money his detts be payd And yf that money be nott sufficient to pay his detts than his feoffors shal sell all his lands in Borton and pte of the shipp to fulfill hit be (by) his executs and feoffors
Also he will that his ex'or dispose yerly be xxx Wywt? next aftr his decesse viijs iiijd for an obit to be kept in the church of Wy(e) wher(e) of
ther shalbe at Herstyngle [Hastingleigh] iijs iiijd arising of the place lands in Hastyngle also at Wy(e) yerly vs arising of the lands in
Wy(e) to the exhibicon of the seid obitt
Also the seid Willm Will that all his goods remaynyng above his detts guidthis? and all other chargs
payd afor nott assymed that Jone his wiff and his Childryn have be the avice and distrecion of his execut.
Also his Will and yf hit happ(en) the seid John and Thomas sonnys of the seid Willm a for age of xxij yers dy(e) wtout issu(e) of ther bodies lawfully begotten Then the seid feoffers shal delyvr to Jone his doughter the place and londis at Hersole to have to her and her heirs male for evr And for lak of hers male to be sold and to be disposed be [by] his executrs
And also the seid feoffers shall sell all his op? landes and ten'ts and dispose the money as folowith
Wher of the executors and feoffers shal delyvr to the suster [sister] of the seid Willm then levng or her childryn then lyvng xl li [£40]
And yf it happe[ns] non of the seid susters nor non of ther childryn then (be) lyvng the seid summe of xlli to be disposed be his execut.
Also to the reparie to the Stepill of Wy [Steeple of Wye] xlli
To prsts Synging [priests singing] in the church of Wy(e) by iiij yers xl mark
Also to the bying of Inte of Vestments xxli to the seid church of Wy(e)
and the residwe that come of the seid londs and tents to be disposed be his executors
