I RING SHEPHERD of the Parish of Faversham in the County of Kent Gentleman do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. That is to say I revoke all former Wills and Testaments by me heretofore made.

And of this my last Will and Testament I do constitute and appoint my Brother SAMUEL SHEPHERD Esquire and my two Nephews JOHN SHEPHERD Esquire and JULIUS SHEPHERD Gentleman Executors.

Also I confirm the Settlement heretofore by me made to my loving Wife ANN SHEPHERD.

And whereas I have now one hundred and fifty pounds Stock in the Old South Sea Annuities I hereby give one Moiety or half part thereof to my said Wife ANN and the other half part to my Daughter in Law BRIDGET ARGENT.

Also I give and bequeath to my said Brother SAMUEL SHEPHERD and to my two Nephews JOHN SHEPHERD and JULIUS SHEPHERD and to the Survivor and Survivors of them and to the Executors and Administrators of such Survivor all my Money at Interest Bills Bonds Notes Mortgage in Fee and for Years all other my Personal Estates not already disposed of whatsoever and wheresoever which shall remain after payment of all my just Debts Funeral Charges and other incident Expenses upon this special Trust and Confidence nevertheless that they the said SAMUEL SHEPHERD JOHN SHEPHERD and JULIUS SHEPHERD and the Survivor and Survivors of them and the Executors and Administrators of such Survivor shall and do pay the said Trust Money unto and to be equally divided between my Sisters SUSANNA SHEPHERD and SARAH SHEPHERD.
And if either of them my said two Sisters shall happen to die before me or my said Wife then shall and do pay the whole Trust Money unto the Survivor of them my said two Sisters her Executors Administrators or Assigns.

And I do hereby declare that the said SAMUEL SHEPHERD JOHN SHEPHERD and JULIUS SHEPHERD shall not be answerable or accountable for any sum or sums of Money but what shall actually come to their Hands or possession nor any loss or losses that shall or may happen in the putting or placing out of the said Money or any part thereof or any other matter or thing relating to the Trusts aforesaid nor for the Acts Defaults or Receipts of the other of them.

I likewise give and devise all my Messuages Lands Tenements Hereditaments and Premises whatsoever as well in the Town of Faversham aforesaid as elsewhere unto my said Wife ANN for and during the term of her Natural Life she keeping the same in good and tenantable repair and not permitting or suffering any wast or spoil to be done thereto or to any part thereof.
And after her decease I give and devise the same and every part thereof unto my said two Sisters SUSANNA SHEPHERD and SARAH SHEPHERD and to their Heirs and Assigns forever.

In Witness whereof I the said RING SHEPHERD have to this my last Will and Testament contained in this single sheet of paper of which there are two parts but both of the same Tenor and Effect affixed my Hand and Seal this 2nd Day of November 1761. RING SHEPHERD

Signed sealed published and declared by the said RING SHEPHERD as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as Witnesses thereto
