This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary Shove of the Town and Corporation of Queenborough in the County of Kent Widow

First I give and devise to my son in law James Chalk the sum of Five hundred pounds as a compliment to him for his trouble and services from the time of my late husband�s decease to the present time

Also I give and bequeath my Watch and Chain with the seal to the eldest Daughter of my Daughter Mrs Mary Chalk that shall be living at the time of my decease
Also I give and bequeath to all my grandchildren ten pounds each for mourning
Also I give and bequeath to my Niece Elizabeth Pritchard of Cooms Hill Greenwich and to Thomas Daniel Cleveland of Evans Court Coleman Street London ten pounds each for mourning

Also I give and bequeath all my real and personal estate or estates whatsoever and wheresoever to be equally divided between my three Daughters Ann Gregory Mary Chalk and Jane Fitzgerald share and share alike as tenants in common and not as joint tenants

And my will further is that the share or shares that I give to my Daughter Ann Gregory is for the use and benefit of her and her husband William Gregory during their natural lives and after their decease to such Child or Children of my said Daughter Ann Gregory as shall be then living when they have attained the age of twenty one years

but if no such Child or Children live to the age of twenty one years Then I give and bequeath such share or shares to be equally divided between the Children of my said daughter Mary Chalk and Jane Fitzgerald

Also I give and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my Personal estate or estates goods and chattels household furniture plate linen china and wearing apparel to my said three Daughters to be equally divided between them Subject nevertheless to the payment of the legacies before mentioned my just debts funeral and testamentary expences

And lastly I do hereby appoint my son in law James Chalk and my grandson William Shove Chalk joint Executors to this my last Will and Testament

Having given to Mrs Sarah Ann Hasper a low Chest of Drawers the fellow to those that the dressing glass in my Chamber stands on it is my desire that at my death these stand in my Chamber should be given to Mrs Ann Gregory and as an equivalent to Mrs Jane Fittzgerald I desire that she may have my small pair of silver Candlesticks as they cost me exactly the same money as each chest of Drawers did that is 5-5-0 unless she would prefer the 5-5-0

Since the above was written I have asked Mrs Fitzgerald by Letter which she would like best the five guineas in money or the Candlesticks to which she replyd the Candlesticks so it is my wish she should have them for which I have made this Memorandum

Affidavit by Reverend Thomas Gregory of Shanklewell in the County of Middlesex Clerk and James Jell Chalk of Caroline Street Bedford Square in the same County Esquire as to due execution of the Codicils

Proved at London with two Codicils 4 July 1822
