I Give and Bequeath unto my Son James Shrubsole the Sum of Ten Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid him by my Executors hereinafter named within three Calendar Months next after my decease
And I do hereby direct and it is my Will and Intention that all Debts now due and owing to me from my said Son James Shrubsole whether on Bond Note Simple Contract or otherwise shall be forgiven him and all Evidences and Securities of such Debts so due as aforesaid shall immediately after my decease be cancelled surrendered and given up to my said Son James Shrubsole his Executors or Administrators
Also I Give and Bequeath to my Son William Shrubsole the Sum of One hundred Pounds of like lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid unto him by my said Executors hereinafter named within three Calendar Months next after my decease
Also I Give and Bequeath unto my Son in Law John Gratrix the Sum of Eighty Pounds of like lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid unto him by my said Executors hereinafter named within three Calendar Months next after my decease
Also I Give and Bequeath to my Servant Mary Elvey the Sum of Five Guineas of lawful
Money of Great Britain to be paid unto her by my said Executors hereinafter
named within three Calendar Months next after my decease
And I do hereby direct that my said Executors shall immediately after my decease give to the
said Mary Elvey a full and complete suit of Mourning
Also I Give and Bequeath unto my three Sons Thomas Shrubsole the said James Shrubsole and the said William Shrubsole All my Stock and Crop of Hops Hoppoles Hopplants and Hopsotts which shall be at the time of my decease remane and be in upon or about a Piece or Parcel of Hop Ground lying and being in Westgate Court Field in the County of Kent and now in my own Occupation To hold unto my said three Sons Thomas Shrubsole James Shrubsole and William Shrubsole their Executors or Administrators in equal Shares and Proportions
also I Give and Devise unto my said Son Thomas Shrubsole All that my Freehold Messuage or Tenement
Blacksmiths Forge and Hereditaments situate lying and being in Boots Lane in
the Parish of All Saints in the said City of Canterbury and now in my own
Occupation To hold unto my said Son Thomas Shrubsole his Heirs and Assigns for ever
But Subject and upon condition as is hereinafter expressed
And all and every other my Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments Parts Purparts
and Shares of Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments and all other my
Real Estates whatsoever and all my Household Furniture Plate Linen and China
Stock and Utensils in Trade Money Securities for Money Money either in the
Public Funds or Private Security or Securitys Book and other Debts (except such
as I have hereinbefore forgiven my said Son James Shrubsole) Goods Chattels
Rights Credits and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever not
hereinbefore by me given and bequeathed (Subject to the Payment of my just
Debts Funeral Expenses the Charges of Proving this my Will Legacies and all
other incidental Expences
And also upon this express Condition that my said Son Thomas Shrubsole his Heirs Executors
and Administrators shall and do thereout support maintain educate clothe lodge and also find
provide and allow all other Necessaries for the Maintenance Education and bringing up of my Grand
Daughter Mary Gratrix Daughter of my Daughter Mary Gratrix until she attains
to the Age of Twenty one years
And also upon this further Condition that from and immediately after my said Grand Daughter
Mary Gratrix shall have attained her said Age of Twenty one years Then that he my said Son Thomas Shrubsole
his Heirs Executors and Administrators shall and do immediately after such her
Attainment well and truly pay or cause to be paid to my said Grand Daughter
Mary Gratrix the Sum of Fifty Pounds of like lawful Money of Great Britain)
I Give Devise and Bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my said Son Thomas
Shrubsole To hold unto my said Son Thomas Shrubsole Subject and upon such
conditions as aforesaid his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever
And I hereby make nominate constitute and appoint my said Sons Thomas Shrubsole and James Shrubsole Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Wills by me at any time or times heretofore made and declaring this and this only to be my last Will and Testament
In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Shrubsole the Testator have to this my last
Will and Testament in two Sheets of Paper contained to the first Sheet thereof
set my Hand and to this second and last Sheet thereof my Hand and Seal this
nineteenth day of April in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety Thos Shrubsole
