First I give and bequeath my Cousin Thomas Wilkins and Elizabeth his Wife Tenn poundes in money to be paid to them within Six months next after my decease by my Executor and if either of them dye before the same be due then the Survivor of them to have this tenne poundes
Item I will that my Executor his Executors and Administrators shall pay yearely and every yeare to my Cousin Amie Hearnenden the daughter of George Hearnenden during the naturall life of the said Amie Twenty shillings of Lawfull monie of England upon the five and twentieth day of March and the nine and twentieth day of September or within Tenne dayes next after every of the said dayes be even portions the First payment thereof to beginne att such of the said daies and time as shall first happen after my decease
And I constitute and make my loveing Cousin William Meryway als. Merio of Staplehurst Yeoman to be Executor of this my last will and testament To whom I will and give all the rest of my goods Chattells Leases any personall estate whatsoever
Item I will unto my Cousin Master George Amhurst twenty shillings for preaching a sermon att my Funerall

This Will was proved at Westminster the eigheenth day of May in the yeare of our Lord God One thousand Six hundred fifty and fower before the Judges for probate of Wills and granting Administrations lawfully authorised by the Oath of William Mayway als. Mayo the Sole Executor named in the above written Will To whom Administration of all and Singular the goods Chattells and debts of the saide deceased was committed he being first legally sworne truly an faythfully to administer the same
Notes: Richard Silke was buried at All Saints, Staplehurst on 27th April 1654. His Christening has not been found as yet. He also appears not to have married.
