Item I give and bequeath unto Richard Fowl of Charte in the County of Kent aforesaid yeoman all and singular my live stock corn grain husbandry � ready money and securitys for money goods and chattles whatsoever and wheresoever to and for such use and uses intents and purposes as are herein after mentioned that is to say
In the first place that he the said Richard Fowl do sell and dispose of all my said goods and chattles (except these in the chamber over the parlour and household linen) as soon as conveniently he can for the best price and advantage that may be and the moneys arising therefrom together with such ready money and moneys out at interest or otherwise due to me I will and desire him to dispose of in such manner and to such persons and in such proportions as I herein give and bequeath the same that is to say
First I give and bequeath unto my daughter Susan the sum of three score pounds of lawfull money to be paid her by the said Fowle as soon as he can raise the said sum I do hereby order and appoint him to pay her accordingly
Item I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Susan all my bed clothing? and furniture and other the goods now in the chamber over the parlour aforesaid to be delivered by the said Richard Fowl and I do hereby order and appoint him to deliver the same unto my said daughter on her request
Item I give and bequeath unto my five daughters Mary Elizabeth Frances Sarah and Susan all my wearing apparel linen and woollen equally to be divided between them share and share alike and I do hereby order and appoint the said Richard Fowle to deliver the same? to my said daughters to be divided as aforesaid
Item I give and bequeath unto my said daughters all my household linen equally to be divided between them share and share alike such linen as any of them have already had to be allowed and accounted as so much and a part thereof and I do hereby order and appoint the said Richard Fowle to deliver the said linen in manner aforesaid
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary ten pounds of lawfull money and I do order and appoint the said Richard Fowle to pay the same so soon as he raised the money
and after the said Richard Fowle has sold of and discharged of the aforesaid goods and chattles and converted the same unto ready money and the money out at interest and money due to me on any account whatsoever I do hereby order and appoint the said Richard Fowle to put out the same (whatever sum it may amount to) on the best security or securitys that he can and the interest thereof from time to time to be dispossessed of and paid by the said Richard Fowle in six several parts and shares in manner and forme following (that is to say)
to each of my daughters now living one sixth part of the said interest money as it shall from time to time
become due and payable
and to Thomas Evernden who married my daughter Ann who is now dead the other sixth part of the said
interest money towards the maintenance of those children he has had by my said daughter but whereas
I now stand bound with and for the said Thomas Evernden in the sum of one hundred pounds for the
payment of fifty pounds and interest and unto one ____ Love of Maidstone I do hereby order and
appoint the said Richard Fowle (in case the said Thomas Evernden do not pay the said sum or otherwise
discharge me of the same) to deduct out of his sixth part of the interest aforesaid sufficient to pay the
interest of the said fifty pounds from time to time as it shall become due and payable and also to pay
the said sum of fifty pounds out of his sixth part or share of what I shall herein give and bequeath unto
his children which he had by my daughter Ann and I do hereby order and appoint the said Richard Fowle
to pay the said interest and principal accordingly in case the said Thomas Evernden do not discharge the
said bond or obligation as aforesaid
and whereas Henry Soan who married with my daughter Elizabeth hath had and received of me at two several times the sum of one and thirty pounds and seven shillings for which I have his notes under hand I do order and appoint the said Richard Fowle to deduct the same out of his sixth part or share that I herein after give to his children
Item I give and bequeath unto my several Grandchildren now born of my several daughters to witt Ann Evernden, Mary Norwood, Elizabeth Soan, Frances Gibbons and Sarah Elvy or which shall be hereafter borne one sixth part of my personal estate so to be raised by the said Richard Fowle as aforesaid the said sixth part to be paid and equally divided between them after any several and respective Mother�s death as they shall severally attaine their several and respective ages of one and twenty years or days of marriage
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Susan Sills the other sixth part of the said personal estate to be raised as aforesaid by the said Richard Fowle as aforesaid the said sixth part to be paid by the said Richard Fowle so soon as conveniently may be and I do order and appoint the said Richard Fowle accordingly
Item I give and devise all that my Messuage or tenement lands and premises lying and being in Frittenden in the County of Kent and now in the tenure or occupation of the Widow Butler unto my aforesaid daughters and their daughters according to the custome of Gavil kind lands
but notwithstanding what is herein mentioned to be bequeathed unto the said Fowle and the power herein given him in case he does not care to undertake the charge and Trust aforesaid I do then order and appoint my daughter Susan to undertake the care and trust aforesaid and charge in all things? according as I have appointed him
Lastly all the rest and residue of my personal estate that is to say the Lease of the Farme now I use occupy and live in I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Susan Sills who I do hereby nominate and appoint sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby revoke disannul and make void all former wills and testaments by me heretofore made
In Witness whereof I the said Mary Sills to this my last will and testament contained in three sheets of
paper have set my hand to each sheet and seal to the last this eighteenth day of Aprill in the year of our
Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty eight Mary Sills her mark Signed sealed published and
declared by the Testatrix in the presence of us whose names are subscribed as witnesses and attested
by us in the presence of the said testatrix in the presence of

The above registered will of Mary Sills deceased was proved the 3�d? day of May 1738 before the Rev�d James Lensbridge? Clerk lawfull surrogate to the Worshipful George Lee Doctor of Laws Official General to the Rev�d the Archdeacon of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Susan Sills daughter of the said deceased and Executrix herein named to whom administration of the goods and chattels �
