In the name of God Amen I William Simons of Staplehurst in the (County) of Kent, Yeoman make and ordayne this my Last will and Testament in manner and forme folloinge (that is to say)
finding my body weake through Longe infirmitie but being in p[er]fect memory Blessed be God, Firste giveinge God Harty thankes for my redemption and the forgivenes of all my sinnes which I verily believe to obtaine through faith in Christ in his blood shedding and Precious Death
my body I comitte to the earth of which it was first formed and to be buried in Staplehurst Churchyard and my soule and (I) commit into the hands of God who gave it hoping for a Joyfull Resurrection

Item I give & bequeve all my halfe part of house and lands called Dunbery Lande unto my sonne Edward Simons and his heires for ever at the age of One and Twentue yeares

Item I give and bequeve unto my Daughter Elizabeth Simons the full some of Threescore poundes of Lawfull English money to be paid her at the age of One and Twentie yeares by my Executor, and to give sufitience bond unto my brother Edward Simons for the Cecuritie of it within one yeare after my decease

Item the residue of all my Goods and Chatles I give unto Elizabeth Simons my Loveing wife whome I doe make Executor of this my Last will and Testament
and I doe request my welbeloved brother Edward Simons to by my Overseer of this my will and Testament

In wittnes hereof I have set my hand and Seale William Simons his N marke
Wittnesses: Edward Simons his marke M; Francis Mlehmane?; Robert Rabbett
