First I nominate and appoint my dear wife Mary Skinner my Son John Skinner and my Brother in Law John Springet Executors and Trustees of this my Will
Whereas my Landlord Richard Allnutt Esquire hath promised to grant me a further Lease of the Messuage Buildings Farm Lands and Premises with the appurt's now therefore I do hereby give and bequeath unto my said Executors and Trustees all and every of my ready Monies and Securities for money Goods Chattels Cattle Husbandry Tackle Effects and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or quality soever the same may happen to be at the time of my Decease and all my Estate and Interest therein to hold the same and every part thereof unto my said Executors and Trustees upon the Trusts and for the intents and purposes hereinafter declared concerning the same that is to say
upon Trust to collect convert and manage the same for the carrying on managing and transacting the Farming Business which I may have at the time of my Decease in such manner as my said Executors and Trustees shall think proper and beneficial to the trusts of this my will during the Term of the Lease so promised to be granted to me by the said Richard Allnutt if my said Executors and Trustees shall think it right and advantageous so to do and I declare and direct that such compensation or allowance out of the profits to arise or be made from the said Business shall be made and paid to my said son John Skinner during such management and carrying on of the said Business as they my said Executors and Trustees shall agree upon and think reasonable and proper for his care and fidelity in the execution of the Trusts hereby reposed in him
and then upon trust to pay and apply the residue and remainder of the profits and savings arising and to be made from carrying on the Business unto my said wife Mary Skinner in order the better to enable her to support and maintain herself and bring up and maintain the rest or others of my Children in such manner as she in her discretion shall think proper
and upon further trust that my said Executors and Trustees do and shall at or upon the expiration of the said Lease so promised as aforesaid or sooner if they shall see occasion and judge necessary sell dispose of and collect all the residue of my Estate and Effects and convert the same into ready money and I direct and declare that my said Executors and Trustees shall stand possessed of and interested in all the ready monies to be made and received by or from the Sale collection and Conversion of my said Estate and Effects upon the Trusts and for the purpose hereinafter intentioned that is to say
upon trust to pay to each of my four children namely John Skinner William Skinner Sophia Skinner and Thomas Skinner the sum of Two hundred pounds Sterling for their respective use and benefit
and also upon trust to pay the Interest and Produce of the further sum of Two hundred pounds unto my
Son in Law George Franks and my daughter Mary his wife for and during the term of their natural
lives and the life of the survivor of them
and from and after the decease of such survivor then upon Trust to divide and pay the said last mentioned sum of Two hundred pounds unto and
amongst the Children now born or thereafter to be born of her the said Mary Franks and as well Female as Male
in equal shares and proportions for their respective and absolute use and benefit
and upon further trust that my said Executors and Trustees do and shall from time to time pay and apply the Interest
and Produce of all the residue of the said Trust monies and Premises unto my said wife Mary Skinner
for and during the term of her natural life for her own use and benefit
and from and after her Decease upon trust to pay the sum of Four Guineas to the said John Springet for his care and fidelity
in the execution of the Trusts hereby reposed in him and also to pay the sum of One hundred pounds
unto my said Son John Skinner for his own use and benefit
and then upon trust to divide and pay all the residue and remainder of the said Trust monies and premises in five equal shares and
proportions in manner following (that is to say) to each of my said four Children John Skinner William
Skinner Sophia Skinner and Thomas Skinner one full equal fifth part or share thereof for their
respective and absolute use and benefit and to whom I give the same accordingly
and as to the other or remaining fifth part or share of the said residue or remainder of the said Trust monies and
premises upon trust to pay the Interest and Produce thereof unto the said George Franks and Mary
his wife for and during the term of their natural lives and the life of the survivor of them and from
and after the decease of such survivor then upon trust to divide and pay the said last mentioned
Fifth part or share amongst all the Children now born or hereafter to be born of her and as well
Female as Male in equal shares and proportions for their respective and absolute use and benefit
and to whom I give the same accordingly
and I direct and declare that my said Executors and Trustees shall place out an interest the aforesaid Trust monies and premises in their own names at Interest in such manner as they shall think proper and from time to time change and vary the Securities for the same as they shall judge necessary and expedient and I also declare and direct that my said Executors and Trustees shall not be answerable or accountable for each other or for each others arts and deeds but each for herself and himself only and that they may pay deduct and allow to each other all Costs Charges and expenses that may be incurred and sustained by them respectively in the execution of the Trusts hereby reposed in them
and lastly I invoke and make void all former and other wills and Codicils by me heretofore made
In witness whereof I the said William Skinner the Testator have to this my last will and Testament contained in three sheets of paper
subscribed and set my hand and Seal to wit my hand to the two preceeding sheets and hand and
Seal to this third and last sheet the day and year first above written Wm Skinner LS
The writing contained in this and the two preceeding sheets of paper was signed sealed and published by the
above named William Skinner the Testator in the presence of us who have hereto subscribed our names as witnesses in his presence

This Will was proved at London the Thirteenth day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Nine before the Right Honourable Sir John Nicholl Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oaths of Mary Skinner widow the Relict of the deceased John Skinner the Son of the said deceased and John Springett otherwise Springet the Executors named in the said will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased they having been been [sic] first sworn by commission duly to administer
