In the name of God Amen the firste day of June Anno sithens chareles incarnation for us a Thousand five hundrethe lxxiij [1573] the xvth [15th] yeere of the Reign of o[u]r Soverainge ladye Elizabeth by the grace of God of England Fraunce & Ireland Queene defendor of the faither &c.
I Willm Sleynye of Egerton in the County of Kent sicke of boddye yet nevertheles of perfect mynd & Remebrans do demise & make this my prese[n]t Testament & laste Will in mann[e]r & forme following (that ys to saye)
First I bequethe my soule to Allmighty God my maker Saviour & Redeemer Any I Will my boddy to be buried Wthin the chirche yearde of Egerton

Item I give to the poore brethern of Egerton xijd
Item I give to Willm Sleynye my sonne my fetherbed wth all thinges belonging therunto That ys to Wit two bollsters, one of like the other of carmies?, two pillows, two blancketes, one covrlet of three w[hi]ch my Wif Will one sheet, one table cloths wch my Wif Will
Item to the saide William the paynted clothe at the hed of the same bed And the lynnen testor over the same bed wth the frynge

Item I give to my doughter Margaret fortye shillinges of laufull monny of Englande to be paid to her or her Assignes at the ende & terme of one hole yeere next after my decease
Item I give to Agnes my doughter fortye shillinges of laufull monny of Inglande at the end & terme of two yeeres next after my deceas
The said iiijli [£4] to be paid to them or to their Assignes by myne executrix or by her Assignes
Item I give my beringe or christening sheete between my doughter Margaret & Agnes

The Residewe of all my goodes Cattell & moveables I give & bequethe them to Elizabethe my Wif Whome I male my sole executrix of this my present Testament & laste Will

In Witnes Whereof I have caused this my testament & laste Will to be made in manner & forme aforesaid Whereunto I have set my hande
