This is the last Will and Testament of me William Smeeth of the Parish of Eastry in the County of Kent Husbandman made this Twentieth day of October in the Year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty nine as follows that is to say

First I direct all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expences to be paid by my Executor hereinafter named out of my Personal Estate I give and bequeath unto my Nephew William Smeeth of the Parish of Woodchurch in the said County of Kent Schoolmaster Son of my brother Thomas Smeeth the Sum of Twenty Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain as an acknowledgement of the trouble he may have in the Execution of this my will and also my Silver Watch and all my wearing Apparel of every description together with my clothes chest

and I give and bequeath all and singular my monies securities for Money Money in any of the Public Stocks or Funds of this Kingdom Mortgages Bonds Bills Notes Debts due and owing to me and all other my Personal Estate whatsoever & wheresoever and of what kind or nature soever the same may the same may be or consist of and of what kind or nature soever the same may be or consist at the time of my decease unto and equally unto between my said Nephew William Smeeth my Niece Mary Smeeth of the City of Canterbury Spinster and my two Nieces Ann the Wife of William Dunk of Maidstone in the said County of Kent Carpenter and Rebecca Barden the two Children of my Sister Ann the Wife of Isaac Barden and to be divided between the said William Smeeth Mary Smeeth Ann Dunk and Rebecca Barden as tenants in common and not as joint Tenants and to their respective Executors Admors and Assigns

And I appoint my said nephew William Smeeth full and sole Executor of this my will
And I direct that he shall not make any further charge as Executor hereof beyond the aforesd legacy of Twenty Pounds and that he shall make such distribution by me hereinbefore directed within six Calendar months next after my decease

And Lastly I revoke all former wills by me made
In Witness whereof I the said William Smeeth the testator have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first aforesaid _ William Smeeth
