In the name of God Amen The fifteenth day of February 1659
I Alexander Smithson of the parish of Wingham in the County of Kent yeoman being of perfect memory and remembrance praised be God therefore doe make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and forme following
first I bequeath my soule into the hands of Allmighty God my maker having through the meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my onely Saviour and redeemer to receave free pardon and forgiveness of my sins and as for my body to be buried in Christian burial at the discretcon of my Executor hereafter named

First I will and bequeath my two Messuages or tenements with all and singular their appurtenances with all the lands orchards Gardens buildings and hereditaments thereunto belonging lying and being in the parish of Shadowherst in the County of Kent adjoynding to a little Greene there unto my sonne William Smithson to him and to his heires and Assignes forever

Item I give and bequeath all that my Messuage or tenement with all the lands and appurtenances thereunto belonging lying and being at a certaine place called Westmarsh in the parish of Ash next Sandw’[i]ch in the County of Kent aforesaid w’[hi]ch I late purchased of John Proud of Ash Gent aforesaid unto my sonne Alexander Smithson to him and his heires and Assignes forever

And I doe lilewise give more unto my sonne Alexander Smithson to him and to his heires and Assignes forever one peece or parcel of marshland contayneing by estimacon five Acres be there more or less & lying and being neare to a place called Kickborrowe in the parish of Ash aforesaid in the said County of Kent
Item I will give and bequeath All that my Messuage or tenement buildings orchards Gardens with all and singuala their appurtances thereunto belonging situate sett lying and being in the parish of Goodnestone in the said County of Kent to Alexander Smithsone my sonne to him and To his heires and assignes forever

Item alsoe I give And bequeath all my lands lying and being in the Parish of Woodchurch in the County of Kent aforesaid Called by the name of Luckhurst unto Alexander Smithsone my sonne William Smithsonnes sonne to him and to his heires and Assignes forever

Item I give and bequeath one other Messuage or tenement with all the houses buildings orchards and gardens lands and premises conteyning by Estimacon fifteene Acres more or less & with all and singular their Apputenaces and hereditaments thereunto belonging Comenly called or knowne by the name of Kettles In the parish of Shaddoxhurst aforesaid in the County of kent and late in the occupacon of John Larkin or of his Assignes unto Alexander my sonne Unto him and to his heires and Assignes forever
And Alsoe I give and bequeath that peece or parcel of land lying in the parish of Ash aforesaid wch is now or late in the occupacon of John Sturges or his Assignes unto Alexander Smithson my sonne to him and to his heires and Assignes forever

All the rest of my moveable goods whatsoever not heretofore willed given and bequeathed moveable and immoveable after that my creditors be first satisfied and paid My legacies being paid and satisfied my funeral expences and the p[robate of this my will discharged
I give unto Alexander my sonne whom I make and ordaine to be my full and whole Executor of this my last will and Testament revoking all other wills and testam’ts By me formerly made

In witnes whereof I have Hereunto sett my hand and Seale the day and yeare First above written
