In the name of God Amen in the yere of oure Lorde God ay [overwritten?] [1558] and in the iiijth & vth yeres of the reignes of oure Soverayns Lorde and Ladye Phillipp and Mary by the grace of God kinge and Quene of England etc.
I William Solly of the p'ishe of Ashe next Sanwice in the Countie of Kent husbandman beinge of p'fect mynde and Remembrannce though sicke in my bodye do mak(e) and Ordaine thys my Last will and testament in maner and fourme followinge
Fyrst I bequeth my soule to Almightye God and my bodye to be buryed in the churche yarde of Ashe aforesayde

Item I give and bequeth unto Ellyn, Johan, Marye and Margarett Solly my iiij daughters xxxL [£30] of Lawfull money equally to be devyded amongst them that is eche of them vijL xs [£7.50] a pece to be levyed of my goods and cattalls

Item I give and bequeth unto Margarett Solly my wyffe all my croppe nowe growinge upon the grownde and all my housholde stuffe and plln? to be levyd [levied] of my cattell and other goods
And soe the same I will that if she now be wth child wch [which] a man chylde that then she shall free give and assure unto the same man childe xL [£10] And if the same fortune to be a woman childe shalbe assured of vijL xs by the sayd Margarett Solly my wyff

And that my sayd children shall preace [receive?] and take the Legacyes and benefytes of thys my Last will and testament at the daye of theyr maryage or at th'age of xviij yeers

And of thys my p'snt Last will and testament I ordaine and make the sayde Margarett Solley my wyffe my sole executrix
and my brother Stephen Solley and Rychard Omer my brother in Lawe Overseers of the same
upon conicon [condition] that the sayd Margarett Solley my wyffe shall wthin six weekes next after my decease pve [prove] thys my sayde last will and testament And (if) she do not prove the same wth (within) the time before Limited Then I will that the sayd Stephin Solly my brother and the sayd Rychard Omer shall have the Execution of thys my sayde Last will & testament
And do Ordaine and mak by thes pntes [these presents] the sayd Stephen Solly and Rychard Omer myne Executors of the same

I(n) Witnes whereof to thys my p'snt Last will and testament I have set to my Seale in the pr'sence of
[Will then runs straight into the following sentence]

Item I the sayde William Solly do further will declare and bequethe by thys present testament and Last will of myne that if any of my dawghters aforesayd Ellyn, Johan, Marye and Margarett Sollye, fortune to dye and passe out of thys pnt lyffe before they shall come unto the daye of their maryages or before theire age of xviij yeeres, then I will those that shall survive shalbe heires unto those that shall fortune to dye and they to enjoye the legacys and benefytte bequethed unto the other nowe Livinge as in thys my sayde Last will and testament is declared & by me bequethed
