In the name of God Amen The seaven and Twentith day of Augus in the yeare of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ one Thousand Sixe hundred Sixtie and one
I John Solley of the Parish of Wingham in the County of Kent Gentleman being sicke and weake In Body but of perfect and sound Remembrance (Thankes bee unto almighty God), make and ordaine This my last will and Testament in manner and Forme Following Vzt.
First I bequeath my soule into The hands of almighty God, hopeing only by The Death and Passion of my Saviour Christ to be Rewarded? againe In the Last day and my body to bee Decently buried in the Churchyard of the parish of Ash neere to the place where my Ancestors lye And as Touching That worldly Estate which God of his Great goodnesse hath here lent unto mee

I doe give and bequeath unto my four Daughters Mary Solley, Susan Solley, Elizabeth Solley and Margarett Solley the sume of Two hundred pounds Apeece to bee paid unto them At there severall Ages of one and Twenty yeares by my Executrix heare after named, and my will an minde is that if any of my said four Daughters shall happen To Depart This Life before they Attaine the age of one and Twenty yeares, that then The parte or porcn [portion] of her or them soe dyinge shall descend and Come to equally betweene my four sonnes John Solley, Francis Solley, Richard Solley and Thomas Solley or betweene such of them as shall be soe liveinge at the tyme of her or their Decease

The Rest of my goods and Chattells not before given I Doe give and bequeath unto my loveing wife, my debts, Legacies and finerall expences well and Truely Satisfied and paied

This is the Last will and Testament of mee the said John Solley made the day and yeare above written
And as Touching the disposition of all and Singler my Lands Tenements and hereditaments whatsoever I doe dispose of in manner and forme following

Imprimis whereas I have an Estate Right Title and interest to Come in condeccon [Condition] after the decease of my Loveing Father Mr. Stephen Solley of and in a Messuage and Lands with thappurtennces [the appurtenances] in the Parish of Ashe next Sandwich in the County of Kent commonly Called or known by the name of Peddinge my will and minde is That if soe it happen That my Loveing wife bee a widdow at the decease of my said Father that then shee shall have and enjoy the said Messuage and Lands Called Pedding during the time of her widdow houd and noe Longer
allowing and Paying during all such time as shee shall enjoy the same unto my eldest sonne Stephen Solley after hee shall attaine the Age of one and Twenty yeares one full halfe of all the yearly profitts thereof

And after wards, Doe will and bequeath the said messuage and Lands called Pedding unto my said sonne Stephen Solley and To his heires for ever
paying unto my youngest daughter Martha Solley the sume of Two hundred pounds at her Age of one and Twenty yeares, if he be then possest thereof

And my will and minde further is That whereas part of my wives Joynture is felled in the messuage and Lands called Peddinge my Desire and will is that the same proporcon be Taken and enjoyed out of my farme at Cooper Streete in the parish of Ashe aforesaid wherein Michaell Solley now liveth during the lifetime of my Father Stephen Solley and noe Longer

Item I Doe give and bequeath unto my four other sonnes John Solley Francis Solley, Richard Solley and Thomas Solley, all that my house and Land with thappurtencces in the Parish of Ripple in the County of Kent, and also my house and Land with thappurtencces wherein Michaell Sollley now Liveth in the parish of Ashe Aforesaid to bee equallie Devided betwene them after The Decease of my Executrix
And my will and minde is that if any one of my saide foure sonnes shall happen to dye before they shall attaine the Age of one and Twety yeares, That the parte or porcon of him or them soe Dyeing shall Decend and Come unto the Survivors or Survivor of them as shall bee living

Item I doe will and Appoint and doe give full power and Authority unto my Loveing Wife Margarett Solley whome I doe hereby Constitute and Appointe to bee my sole Executrix,
if need Require to sell or mortgage the messuage and Land in the occupation of Osmond Saffery lying and being in the foresaid parish of Ashe Towards the payment of my debts and Legacies

Witnesse whereof I the said John Solley to both sheets of this my prsent Last will and Testament have sett my hand and Seale the day And yeare before written being the Seaven and Twentith day of Augus Anno dini 1661
