In the name of God Amen
I Stephen Solley of the parish of Ashe in the County of Kent Gentl. [Gentleman] being somewhat Crazy in body but of perfect and sound memory thankes bee unto Almighty God make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner and forme Following
First I comend my soule into the hands of Almighty God hopeing only by the death and passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to bee receaved againe in the last day
And I will my body to bee buried in such place and Sorte as my Executrixes Overseer and other friends shall thinke most fitt And as Touching that come .... tery worldly goodes which God of his great goodnesse hath here let unto mee I doe give and bequeath in manner Following

Inprimis I doe give unto Forty poore people of the parish of Ashe one shilling apeece to bee paid unto them by my Executrixes hereafter named
Item I give unto Elizabeth my Loving Wife one hundred pounds worth of Household stuffe and Implements of Houshold now being within my dwelling house at Ashe aforesaid
Item I give unto my sonne Benjamine Solley twenty pounds to bee paid unto him by my Executrixes within Six Months after my decease

The Rest of all my goods and Chattells not before given I doe give and bequeath unto my said sonne Benjamine Solley and unto my two other Children Edward Solley and Martha Solley equally to be devided betwixt them, my debts legacies and Funerall expences well and truely satisfied and paid

And of this my last will and Testament I doe constitute and ordaine Elizabeth my Loving Wife and my daughter Martha Solley my full and whole Executrixes
And I nominate and intreate my Loving sonne Henry Foche of the Citty of Canterbury gentl. to be an Overseer of this my Will

In Witness whereof I the said Stephen Solley to this my prsnt [present] Last Will and Testament have Sette my hand and Seale this Eight and twentieth day of May 1661.
