First I give and bequeath unto my Housekeeper Ann Cork and her Assigns for and during the term of
her natural life All that my Messuage or Tenement, Outhouses, Edifices, Buildings, Gardens, Ground
and Appurtenances thereunto belonging situate lying and being in the Parish of Saint Clement in the said
Town and Port of Sandwich and now in the tenure or Occupation of John Wood
And also all that my Messuage or Tenement, Outhouses, Edifices, Buildings, Garden, Ground and Appurtenances thereunto
belonging situate lying and being in the parish of Saint Peter the Apostle in the said Town and Port of
Sandwich at or near a certain places there called “the Fish Market” and now in the Tenure or Occupation of Edmund Fowle
And also all that my Messuage or Tenement, Outhouses, Edifices, Buildings, Garden, Ground and
Appurtenances thereunto belonging situate lying and being in the parish of Chislett in the said
County of Kent at or near a certain place called “Upstreet” and now in the Tenure or Occupation of William Sharp
And also all that my Garden with the Appurtenances thereunto belonging situate lying and being in the Parish of Saint Mary the Virgin in
the said Town and Port of Sandwich and now in my own Occupation
And from and immediately after the decease of the said Ann Cork I give and devise the said Messuages or Tenements, Outhouses, Edifices, Buildings, Gardens, Ground, Hereditaments an Premises unto my Son Richard Heaton Solly his heirs and assigns for ever
I give and bequeath unto the said Ann Cork my Crimson Bed with the Crimson Furniture now being in or belonging to the Chamber over my back Parlour And also all the China in the said Chamber or Closet in the same And also the Yellow Bed and Furniture now being in or belonging to the Chamber where she usually lies called “the Nursery” and all other the Furniture of and belonging to the said two Chambers
Also I give and bequeath unto the said Ann Cork one new fashioned Silver Mugg or Can, two half pint
Silver Mugs, one Silver Pepper Castor and one small Silver Salt and Six Silver Table Spoons
Also I give and bequeath unto the said Ann Cork one Quarter or fourth part of all my China being in the Closet in
my best Chamber, one Moiety or half part of all my Linen and of all the residue of my Household Goods
and Furniture (Plate and China excepted), And of all my Wine and other Liquors
Also I give and bequeath unto the said Ann Cork for and during the term of her natural life one Annuity
of Yearly Rent Charge of Seventy pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to be issuing
out of all that my Messuage or Tenement or Farm called Great Polders (with the) Barns, stables,
Outhouses, Edifices, Buildings, Yards, Gardens, Orchards and several pieces of parcels of Land Arable,
pasture and Fresh marsh containing in the whole by estimation one hundred and Fifteen Acres more or
less with their and every of their Appurts. [Appurtenances] situate lying and being in the Parish of Woodnesborough otherwise Winsborow
in the said County of Kent and now or late in the Tenure or Occupation of Isaac Slaughter his Undertenants of Assigns
to be paid by equal half Yearly payments (that is to say) the fifth day of April and the tenth day of
October without any deduction or abatement thereof for or by reason of any Taxes Charges or
Impositions imposed or to be imposed by Authority of Parliament or otherwise howsoever, the first
payment of the said Annuity or Yearly Rent Charge to be made on the first of the said days which shall first happen next after my decease
And my Will and meaning is that in case the said Annuity or Yearly Rent Charge of Seventy pounds or any part thereof shall be behind or unpaid by the space of twenty one days next over or after either of the said days on which the same ought to be paid as aforesaid That then and so often it shall and may be lawful to and for the said Ann Cork and her Assigns into and upon the said Messuage or Tenement, Farm, Lands, Heredits. [Hereditaments] and Premises or any part thereof to enter and distrain and the distress and distresses then and there found to lead, drive, carry away, detain, impound and sell for and towards paying and satisfying the said Annuity or Yearly Rent Charge of Seventy pounds and all arrears thereof with the Costs and Charges of taking and selling such distress and distresses
And I do give and devise the said last mentioned Messuage or Tenement or Farm called Great Polders (with the) Barns, Stables, Outhouses, Edifices, Buildings, Yards, Gardens, Orchards, Lands, Hereditaments and Premises with their and every of their Appurts. charged and chargeable with the said Annuity or Yearly Rent Charge of Seventy Pounds And Subject to the Remedy for the recovery thereof as aforesaid unto my said Son Richard Heaton Solly his Heirs and Assigns for ever
Also I give and bequeath unto my Niece Ann Rose daughter of my late Sister Anna Rose for and during
the term of her natural life One Annuity or Yearly Rent Charge of Thirty five Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to be issuing and
payable out of all those several pieces or parcels of Pasture or Fresh Marsh Land containing together by Estimation thirty four Acres more
or less with their and every of their Appurtenances situate lying and being in the Parish of Woodnesborough otherwise
Winsborow and now or late in the Tenure or Occupation of John Woodruff his Assigns or Undertenants
to be paid by equal half Yearly payments (that is to say) the fifth day of April and the tenth day of
October without any deduction or abatement thereof for or by reason of any Taxes Charges or

And I do give and devise the said several pieces or parcels of pasture or Fresh Marsh Land heredits. and Premises with their and every of their Appurtenances so charged and chargeable with the said Annuity or Yearly Rent Charge of Thirty five pounds And Subject to the Remedy for the recovery thereof as aforesaid unto my said Son Richard Heaton Solly his Heirs and Assigns for ever
Also I give and bequeath unto the said Ann Cork the sum of Thirty pounds for Mourning
Also I give and bequeath unto my Man Servant Isaac Epps all my Wearing Apparel
Also I give and bequeath unto the said Isaac Epps and Ann his Wife and to all other my Servants that shall be living
with me at the time of my decease full Mourning
Also I give and bequeath unto my said Servant Isaac Epps the Sum of Ten pounds a Year during the term of his natural life to be paid him by
equal Quarterly payments (that is to say) the fifth day of January, the fifth day of April, the fifth day of July and the tenth day of
October by even and equal portions, the first payment to begin on the first of the said days which shall first happen next after my decease
Also I give devise and bequeath all the rest and residue of my Goods, Chattels, Stocks, Funds, Monies, Securities for Money and all other my Estate whatsoever and wheresoever not by me otherwise already disposed of after and subject to the Payment of my just Debts, Funeral Expences and the Charges of Proving and executing this my Will and the several Legacies and Bequests contained herein unto my said Son Richard Heaton Solly his Heirs Executors Admors. and Assigns
And I constitute and appoint my said Son Richard Heaton Solly and the said Ann Cork joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament And Lastly I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me made
In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament contained in three Sheets of Paper to each
Sheet set my Hand and Seal this twenty ninth day of December in the twenty seventh Year of the Reign
of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King
Defender of the Faith and so forth And in the Year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty six

This Will was proved at London the twenty eighth day of April in the Year of our Lord one thousand
seven hundred and eighty nine before the Worshipful William Battine Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the
Right Worshipful Sir William Wynne Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the
Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Richard Heaton Solly Esquire the
Son of the deceased and one of the Executors to whom Administration was granted of all and singular
the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased having been first Sworn duly to administer
Power reserved of making the like grant to Ann Cork Spinster the other Executor named in the said Will when she shall apply for the same.
