First I Give and Bequeath unto my Son Stephen Solly and my good friend John Kelsey the Younger of the Parish of Ash foresaid Yeoman their Executors and Administrators the sum of two hundred pounds four Pounds per Cent in the Consolidated Bank Annuities Upon trust and confidence nevertheless that they the sd. [said] Stephen Solly and John Kelsey and the Survivor of them his Executors and Administrators shall and do pay the Interest & Dividends of the said two hundred Pounds Stock as the same shall become due unto my said Son John Solly for and during the term of his natural life to and for his own use
and after the decease of my said Son John Solly Upon trust that they my said Trustees and the
Survivor of them his Executors and Administrators shall and do pay assign and transfer the said Sum
of two hundred Pounds Stock unto the Children of my Son John Solly lawfully begotten and to be
begotten equally to be divided between them when and as soon as they shall respectively attain the age of twenty one years
and in case any or either of them shall die under that age without leaving issue then I direct that the share or shares of him her or
them so dying shall be paid assigned and transferred to the survivor or survivors of them equally
but in case any or either of them the Children of my said Son John Solly shall die under the said age
of twenty one years leaving issue them I direct that the share or shares of him her or them so dying
and leaving issue shall be paid assigned and transferred to such issue equally
And in case all the Children of my said Son John Solly shall die under the age of twenty one years without leaving issue then I Give and bequeath the said two Hundred Pounds Stock unto my four Children Ann Lednor, Mary Bushell, Jane Pettit and the said Stephen Solly equally to be divided between them and their several Executors Admors. [Administrators] and Assigns whom I order and direct the same to be paid assigned and transferred accordingly
Also I Give and bequeath unto my said Daughter Ann Lednor the wife of Thomas Lednor the Sum of One hundred Pounds of lawful money
of Great Britain the same to be paid to her the said Ann Lednor by my Exors [Executors] hereinafter named by ten equal yearly
payments (that is to say) the sum of ten pounds a year yrly and every year during the term of ten years next following my decease the
first payment to be made within six months next after my decease
In case my said daughter Ann Lednor shall die before the whole of the said sum of one hundred pounds shall have been paid to her then I
direct that so much and such part thereof as shall remain and be unpaid at her death shall be paid unto her Children equally between them
Also I Give and devise all that my Messuage or Tenement with the Stable, Storehouse, Outhouses, Edifices, buildings, Gardens, Land, hereditaments and premises thereunto belonging or therewith used or enjoyed with their and every of their appurtenances situate lying and being in the Parish of St. Mary the Virgin in the Town and Port of Sandwich in the said County of Kent by me lately purchased of Ann Bayly and James Bayly and now in the tenure or occupation of James Hutson the younger or his assigns unto my said Son Stephen Solly his Heirs and Assigns for ever
subject nevertheless to and charged and chargeable with the sum of one Hundred Pounds of lawful money of Great Britain which said sum of one hundred Pounds I do hereby Give and Bequeath unto my said Daughter Mary Bushell the wife of James Bushell her Executors Administrators and Assigns and to be paid to her the said Mary Bushell by my said Son Stephen Solly within six months next after my decease to and for her and their own use
Also I Give and devise unto my said Daughter Mary Bushell her heirs and Assigns for ever all that Messuage or Tenement with the Outhouses, Edifices, buildings, Garden, Land, Hereditaments and premises thereunto belonging or therewith used or enjoyed with their and every of their appurtenances situate lying and being in the Parish of Ash-next-Sandwich aforesaid and now in the tenure or occupation of Stephen Huxstep or his Assigns
Also I Give and devise unto my said Daughter Jane Pettit her heirs and Assigns for ever all that
Messuage or Tenement with the outhouses, Edfices, buildings, Garden, Land, hereditaments and
premises thereunto belonging or therewith used or enjoyed with their And every of their appurts.
[appurtenances] situate, lying and being in the Parish of Ash-next-Sandwich aforesaid and now in my own possession, tenure or occupation
Also I Give and Bequeath to my said Daughter Jane Pettit the Sum of One hundred Pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to her
by my Executors within six months after my death
Also I Give and bequeath unto my said three Daughters Ann Lednor, Mary Bushel and Jane Pettit equally between them share and share alike all my household furniture, Implements of household, wearing apparel, rings, plate, linen and china whatsoever
and as to all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods, Chattels, monies and Personal Estate not hereinbefore otherwise disposed of (after and subject to the payment of my debts, funeral expences and other incident charges) I Give and Bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my said five Children Stephen Solly, John Solly, Ann Lednor, Mary Bushell and Jane Pettit equally to be divided between them share and share alike
And I do hereby revoke and make void all former Wills and Testaments by me made And of this my last Will and Testament do constitute an appoint my said Son Stephen Solly and the said John Kelsey Executors
And I do hereby declare that it shall and may be lawful to and for my said Trustees Stephen Solly and John Kelsey their Executors and Adminisrs. by and out of the said trust moneys or the dividends thereof retain to and reimburse themselves respectively all such Costs, damages and Expences as they shall respectively sustain in the execution of the trust aforesaid and that they, any or either of them shall not be answerable or accountable for any more money than shall come to their respective hands nor for any loss that may happen thereof without their wilful default nor the one of them for the other or others of them or for the acts, deeds, receipts or defaults of the other or others of them but each of them only for his own acts, deeds, receipts and defaults
In Witness whereof I the said Jane Solly the Testatrix have to the first sheet of this my last Will and
Testament contained in wo sheets of paper set my hand and to this second and last sheet thereof my
hand and seal the day and year first above written

and Testament in the presence of us who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each
other have hereunto subscribed our Names as Witnesses

This Will was proved at London the Seventh day of October in the year of our Lord One Thousand
Seven Hundred and Ninety before the Right Honorable Sir William Wynne Knight, Doctor of
Laws, Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by
the oath of Stephen Solly the son of the deceased and John Kelsey the Younger the Executors named
in the said Will to whom Administration was Granted of all and singular the Goods, Chattells and
Credits of the said deceased having been fist sworn by Commission duly to Administer.

Daughter Mary Solley, Spinster of Ash married James Bushell, Bachelor of Woodnesborough on 14th April 1778 at St. Mary the Virgin,
Woodnesborough, Kent. Witnesses were: Richard Baker & Stephen Solley.
Daughter Jane Solly, Spinster of Ash married John Pettit, bachelor of Godmersham on 27th March 1779 at St. Nicholas, Ash-next-Sandwich.
