In the Name of Gode Amen I Henry Somes of the parish of Little Mongeham in the County of Kent Yeoman being in good health of body and sound and perfect mind and memory praysed be God for it Doe make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say ffirst I commend my soul to God who gave it me and my body to the earth from whence it came to be decently interred att the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named and all my worldly estate I dispose hereof as followeth viz. I doe give and bequeath unto my daughter Catherine Somes spinster the sume of one hundred pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid unto her at the age of one and twenty years, or at day of marriage which shall first happen

Item I doe give unto my oldest sonn Samuel Somes one shilling Sterling
Item I doe give unto my daughter Ann the wife of John Silkwood two shillings and sixpence Sterling

Item I doe give unto my daughter Mary the wife of John Fairman the like sume two shillings and sixpence Sterling
Item I doe give unto my daughter Elizabeth the wife of Thomas Young two shillings and sixpence Sterling

Item I doe give unto my daughter Sarah Some spinster two shillings and sixpence Sterling
Item I doe give unto the poore of the parish of Northbourne to be distributed amongst them at the day of my burial the sume of ten shillings sterling

Item I doe give unto my daughter the wife of George Pettit (Dorothy omitted married 1694 ) the sume of five pounds sterling
Item I doe give unto my sonn Henry Somes the Sume of ten pounds of lawfull money of England

Item all the rest and residue of my good chattels and estate whatsoever I doe give will and bequeath unto Dorothy my wellbeloved wife And I doe hereby make and ordain the said Dorothy my wife and the said Henry my son full and sole Executrix of this my last will and testament revoking hereby all former wills testaments and bequests by me in anywise? heretofore made ordained And even soe I conclude this my last will and testament in witness whereof I the said Henry Somes the father have hereunto sett my hand and seal Dated the fifth day of June Anno Dm' 1700 And in the twelfth year of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lord William the third by the grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland King Defender of the faith etc?
