In the name of God Amen the thirtie day of Auguste in the yere from the nucarnacon [Annnunciation] of Christe xlvti Cviijti [1553!]
I Richard Spracklinge of the p[ar]ishe of Sainte John Baptiste in the Isle of Thanet in the Countie of Kente beinge sicke in bodye and of good and pfitte [perfect] Remembrannce doo ordaine and make this my prsent testament and laste will in Maner and forme folowinge
Firste I bequethe my soule to Almightie God and my body to be buried in the churche yarde of Sainte John aforesaid

Item I bequeth to Elisabeth my wife a kowe, a bed w[i]th bolster, Blanketts & coverlet, a cheste and five shets, whiche stuffe is all delivr [delivered] to her use
Item I bequethe more to her iij pewter platters, two pewter dishes, two Ewes and a hive of Bees
All whiche stuffe & catall I give and bequethe to the said Elisabeth my wife Uppon condicon that she the same Elisabethe nor any other p[er]son or psons for her or in her Name doo not claime challenge nor entre at eny time or times for eny dowre or widowe Righte whiche she may have by the rigor of the Lawe or other wise in or uppon eny of my lands or ten[emen]ts or eny p[ar]te or p[ar]cell thereof

And further my will is if she be not contented wt the said stuffe and cattall by me to her before bequethed But will have suche porcon [portion] owte of my lands and tenements as the Lawe will p[er]mitte her Then my will is that she shall lose the bequeths before to her by me bequethed of all suche stuffe cattell and other things as I have bequethed to her
All whiche stuffe catall and other thinges I will shall Remaine to my Sonne Robart Spracklin whome I constitute ordaine and make my (w)hole & sole executor

Item I bequethe to Richard Cage my housse and a hive of Bees and to his daughter Mary the beste Lambe that I have
Item I bequethe to Edward Pampplet a cheste, a pewter plater, a pewter dishe and a Ewe
All the Residew and bequethes paid I bequethe and give to my sonne Robart Spracklin to doo thereto at his will and plesure

Thes beinge Witnes: Henry Petit; Lawrence Rigdon, Luke Harlukenden, Thomas Dann, Simon Caith and others

This is the Laste will of me the said Richard Spracklyn made and declared the said xxxti [30th] day of Auguste in Anno dini [1553] of and Uppon all my Landes and tents Sette lieng and beinge in te pishe of Sainte John or els where

Firste I will that my sonne Robart Spracklyn shall have all my lands and tenements to him and to his heires of his bodie laufullie begotten in fe(e) simple for evr more
