Witnesseth hereunto : Laurence Rooke, Courthope Wood
The will is not signed not even a Mark. The Testator died in Eastbridge Hospital, and in all probability the will was written in haste, omitting all the usual formalitiesProbate was given four days later. It would appear that Mr James Senior whom the Testator had requested to be his childrens guardian, was replaced by Courthope Wood the testators brother in law, to whom the guardianship of the Testators children was given he being a younger man? Or preferred by the teenagers?)
