Itm I will & bequeath to Mary my good & loving wife as an increase of her meanes & livelyhood
(observing her very good affection to my daughter & her children) All those two messuages or tenem’ts
called ye Chequer & ye Crossekeys scituate in ye Citty of Rochester in ye occupacon of John Cart & Rich
Marchan.
But withall my Will & minde is that in consideracon thereof my said wife doe pay unto Rebeckah Warren
of Plextole aforesaid (my neer kinswoman) the yearly some or Annuity of fower pounds by twentie
shillings a q’rter during ye naturall life of her ye said Rebeckah Warren
To have & to hold ye said Messuages or tenem’ts to her ye said Mary for & during her naturall life
And after her decease I will ye same to my daughter Francis for & during her naturall lyfe
And after her decease I will & bequeath ye same messuage or tenem’ts to Thomas Dalyson a younger
sonne of my said daughter & to his heires for ever.
Itm whereas I bought of my brother John Stanley in ye name of his sonne Wm Stanley by deed dated ye
first day of November 1653 a lease of two houses or tenem’ts scituat in ye parish of St Gyles without
Cripplegate & then in ye occupacon of Wm Ingram Ezekiel Kinsin? & Eliz King wid & rented at xx li a yere
or therabouts for w'ch I paid unto my said Brother ye some of £200 of w’ch lease there is 10 yeres to
come from Lady day next I doe give & bequeath to Mary my Sister one Annuity or rent charge of eight
pounds a yere to yssue out of ye said houses or tenem’ts to be paid quarterly during ye said lease yf she live so long
And any surplusage over & above ye said viii li a yere of ye rents of ye said tenem’ts I give & bequeath to
ye said Willm Stanley.
And whereas I bought another lease of my said Brother for ye some of £80 of one or two tenem’ts scituat neer to ye houses or tenem’ts aforesaid & rented at x li a yere or thereabouts I will & bequeath ye same to Dorothie Stanley my said Brothers daughter.
Itm I will & bequeath to Wm Raynes my long tyme servant ye some of ten pounds
and to Eliz Morris my mayd servant ye some of fifty shillings
& to Wm Morgan my servant twentie shillings
and to the poore of this parish twenty shillings.
Itm I doe ordeyne & make my welbeloved Wyfe Mary my full & sole Executrix of this my last Will
And I doe constitute Maximilian Dalyson Esq’r my sonne in lawe (& John Kerrill gent my Nephew*)
Overseers of ye same unto whom I doe will fortie shillings apece in gold.
Dated ye xx th day of March in ye fifteenth yere of ye Raigne of our dread Sovaigne Lord Charles ye
second by ye grace of God King of England etc 1662.
