The last Will and testam[en]t nuncupative of Willm. Stempe husbandman of the parrish of Goodherst in the Countie of Kent decea[se]d by him uttered and declared the twoe and twentieth daie of the month of Maye in the yeare of our Lord God 1614 beeing foresaid? hee being then of good and perfec memorie with an intent and purpose to dispose of his estate in these woords following or the like in effecte and substance viz.

Inprimis hee did give & bequeath unto Catherine Stempe his wife all his goods and Chattells whatsoever to bee by her had occupied and enjoyed during the whole time of her naturall life
and after the decease of his said wife hee did give and bequeath all his said goods & Chattells or soe much of them as his said wife should leave present at the time of her deathe unto John Parks of the parish of Marden, Weaver, his wives kinsman or unto his heires

Item hee did give & bequeath unto Willm. Cooper and to Elizabeth Cooper his brothers children xs a peece of lawfull english money to bee paid unto them by the aforesaid John Parks w[i]thin one wholle yeare after his foresaid wives decease if shee die eave [do leave?] soe muche behind her as (after and lastlie the deduction & allowance of the necessarie expences and Chardges of the said John Parks in th[a]t behalfe) would paie the said twoe legacies

And hee did nominate and appointe the said John Parks the wholle and sole executor of his said last Will and testament

Probatum fuit: 19th July 1614

Notes:
William Stempe was buried at St. Mary, Goudhurst, Kent on 18th June 1614.
William Stempe had married Katherine Moole on 6th May 1582 at Goudhurst.
